Snow day ramen - Edit
A great place for lunch near the park. The fried "chicken" was the best I've had. And a spicy ramen was the perfect way to warm up after a day in the snow

Diverse menu, great atmosphere, great food. - Edit
One of the few remaining all-vegan restaurants in Sapporo. It is another health-conscious vegan restaurant which we typically steer clear of as we are vegans for ethics and not vegans for health 👀
Read moreGlad we hit this spot. It has been somewhat hard to get a really decent vegan feed in Hokkaido so we certainly ate our fill here. The menu is large and diverse, and the desserts are huge and really tasty. Despite their size, they also don’t leave you feeling like you need to take an immediate sh** after eating it. 👍
As for the savoury food, it’s pretty good! The texture of all their vegan meats are awesome. There is a slight lack of flavour in some of the food due to a lack of garlic, onion and other strong spices but all in all it was a pretty awesome experience and it left us feeling very full which we were extremely grateful for.
We would absolutely come back if we find ourselves at another yuki matsuri.

Extremely delicious - Edit
I already went there quite a few times and every time was a delight! I think my favorite might be the Teriyaki Bowl for the Main dishes and the sundae for the sweets!

Fab ramen and soft serve - Edit
Came on two separate trips to Sapporo since we loved it so much the first time. We had excellent service and were lucky enough to be looked after by a bilingual staff member who is from the UK. We shared one miso ramen and one salt ramen. Both were fantastic and among my favourite ramen during the trip. We also tried the teriyaki veggie meat burger and it was also great. Enjoyed the space and ambiance. I ordered a soft serve cone while my partner had the caramel sundae and I was so jealous that I got one of my own the second time. Also some snacks for purchase. Very very satisfied with everything.

Healthy food, made considerately - Edit
Veggy way take a lot of care in every ingredient, all dishes are made completely in house, and care is taken to not make food unhealthy, but it remains good. I highly recommend it as a place to try great ramen and zangi (Hokkaido style mock chicken)

Great food, very friendly people - Edit
We came here twice. The first time we had the ramen and the second time we had the burger and vegan chicken with rice and ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious and the people were very nice, despite the language barrier.

Just fine - Edit
Nothing special, but as there are not many vegan options in Sapporo we were satisfied. we took a bowl and ramen and it was okay we finished everything. very small drink portions. if you are craving a full dinner/lunch in Sapporo - good place to satisfy your hunger. But do not expect too much.

Good choice in Sapporo - Edit
Bowls with soy "chicken", vegetables, and brown rice; salt ramen; miso ramen; small cakes and other backing; and, the soft serve ice cream parfaits! A good spot for lunch. Clean, cozy, friendly staff. Clear menu. Probably one of your best options considering how limited restaurants are vegan-wise in Sapporo.

Brilliant food and best vegan desert I’ve had in Japan! - Edit
Fantastic food all round. Had a parfait for dessert and was everything I was hoping for having jealously seen many dairy ones in Japan. Good coffee too, absolutely loved this.

Good Ramen! - Edit
We tried the salty ramen and the miso ramen, as well as the fried soy meat rice dish. All of them were quite tasty!

Exquisite - Edit
Best ramen I had in Japan so far—the flavors were complex and deep. The vegan chocolate cake, so rare to find here, was incredible. A real must.

Delicious meal, lovely staff, cute little restaurant - Edit
This was the best ramen I had on my 35 days in Japan!
Read moreThe miso broth was rich and had a very interesting depth of flavour and flavour combination like nothing I have ever had before, mixing the usual miso, sesame and ginger with japanese ginger, shiso leaves, and bamboo shoots. And the char siu veggie "pork" was crazy! It's very similar to what I remember pork tasting like, and I believe it has a rice sheet outer layer that gave a very "fatty" texture to it. Based on how good their veggie meat was, I would love to come back and try the burger, and I'm not usually a burger kind of person at all. Unfortunately, the limited time in Sapporo won't allow it.
I also had the sundae, but I was a bit cheeky and asked for a chocolate and berry half and half sundae. Next time, I would order just the berry one because the strawberry sauce was really good. But the soft serve itself wasn't super impressive, unfortunately.
Either way, delicious meal, lovely staff, cute little restaurant. Would recommend visiting it while in Sapporo.

Local Flavors - Edit
Veggy Way offers fantastic vegan versions of local Hokkaido dishes! We had the miso ramen and the zantare bowl, and we were so happy to have the chance to try vegan versions of these regional specialties. Both were truly delicious and packed with flavor!

May not be the best food I’ve eaten, however both their ramen and onigiri were great. I was a bit disappointed with the soft cream, as it was not creamy enough for my taste.

Healthy Restaurant with Desserts too - Edit
Loved that they tried to incorporate healthy habits into their food. They even have a note about the nutrients in so called “junk food” shown in the review pictures. Finally had soft serve after seeing only dairy based soft serve all over Hokkaido. Very cute interior and nice vibes inside. Some of the menu was only Japanese so if you don’t know it, have google translate ready! Reccomend the “fried chicken” meal and strawberry glazed soft serve. Got 2 Salmon onigiri’s to go. Just wish they had more salmon inside of them!
Read morePros: Takeout welcome, Seated immediately, Soft serve!
Cons: Not enough salmon in onigiri

Great option - Edit
The teriyaki burger was really fantastic. Everything else was good but nothing mind blowing. Considering the lack of options in Sapporo, this is a great option. I also wish this place was more centrally located. Staff is super friendly. Don't come if you're in a rush, the food does take a little while to prepare but it's worth it.

Awesome vegan miso ramen! - Edit
We found this incredible plant-based gem close to the Hokkaido Shrine and park. So many great menu options to choose from. We left filling extremely satisfied but overly full. We simply ate way too much. But everything was delicious!!! When in Hokkaido, you have to try the miso ramen. The Veggy Way miso ramen is the absolute best ramen I have tried in Japan. So rich and flavorful! The noodles and veggies are perfectly prepared and balanced. My husband got the teriyaki burger. We also had to try the Hokkaido fried chicken (soy protein). Everything was so good. We topped the meal off with a soft serve Sundae made with soy milk and covered with chocolate sauce and crisp almond bits. I ordered the vegan butter sand - yuzu and raspberry. Pay heed - these are not small portions. We have learned to order several dishes since most dishes are much smaller. Not so here!! These portions are much larger. Several things are gluten free, including the rice buns and vegan butter sands. And their lemonade and ginger ale are really good, too. If you’re in the area, you don’t want to miss this place. It’s definitely worth the trip!

Tasty ramen and fun desserts - Edit
My partner and I both had the shio ramen and really enjoyed it. The broth was very tasty, it was quite salty (as expected) and had a good peppery kick to it too. The toppings were generally fine, some cress and bamboo chunks with a meaty piece on the top. This was quite good, it had a nice texture and coating but tasted a bit too sweet. The noodles were plentiful and tasty - I'm also not sure that I'm much of a noodle connoisseur.
Read moreWe also got a plate of chicken kaarage to share. These had a good texture both inside and out but they lacked a bit of seasoning. They also tasted just a little bit sweet. They were fine but we've had better.
For dessert, my eye was drawn to the vegan butter sand. This was essentially an ice cream sandwich, I chose a chocolate biscuit with a raspberry filling. It was pleasant, it felt like it was a bit richer than just a regular ice cream in the filling. My partner went for the banana chocolate parfait. This had lots of soft serve, chocolate sauce, bananas and almonds, as well as some cornflakes in the middle. It was delicious, she'd never really had anything like this before so it was quite the treat. She especially enjoyed the texture from the cornflakes.
For drinks, I got a strawberry amazake. This fermented drink is usually alcoholic but it wasn't here. It reminded me a little bit of lassi, it was sweet but with a slight savouriness to it. It did have a slightly grainy texture and the strawberry was bits of jam so that was a bit of an odd thing to drink. I enjoyed it overall and was happy to have something a bit different. My partner had the ginger lemonade, it was very gingery and a good refreshing drink.
We got a couple of muffins to takeaway for breakfast the next day. I had a chocolate muffin. It was hearty and well flavoured, it was just a bit dry but I really enjoyed it. The banana muffin was also good, it was moister than the chocolate one and had a good banana flavour without tasting of horrible artificial banana flavouring.

Loved the atmosphere and the restaurant in general- they offer various sweets, also as takeout or gift.
Read moreMy brother had the “meat” with brown rice and I had the miso ramen- both was very good, only the miso tasted a bit too much of sesame for my taste (to be fair I think the broth is mostly sesame-based to make it kinda milky like miso or tonkotsu).
All in all worth a visit, especially since it’s so close to the park.
Pros: interior design, sweets

Exclusively vegan cafe, a rare find in Japan! The miso ramen was delicious, I wasn't too fond of the fake meat but that may just have been my taste.
