Veggie's World

This place was so wonderful! I went to Andorra La Vella with my Aunt today on a guided tour from Barcelona. Knowing that my phone wouldn't work there without expensive roaming I messaged the restaurant through Facebook Messenger early in the morning to see if they were open today (a Monday) and if so, the hours. I was happy to receive a response before leaving France (our tour also went there) with the hours and asking if I wanted to make a reservation. As it was off season a reservation was not really necessary, although they generally recommend it. I meant to take a picture of the hours at the door before I left so I could update Happycow (the hours are not listed on their Facebook page either), but I forgot.

When we arrived we were seated by a friendly cute young man whom my Aunt was able to communicate with in French. The menu was handwritten and just for the day. Vegan items are not marked as such, but the staff is knowledgeable as to which items are vegan. I had a stuffed tomato dish (cooked just the right amount of time, filled with lentils, veggies and just a sprinkle of vegan cheese) and a doner dish (delicious seitan, homemade looking pita, unique and flavorful sauce), and my Aunt had a (non-vegetarian empanada). For dessert my Aunt had a slice of fig tart which my she describes as beautiful and with the most amazing figs she's ever had. I had a fruit and nut tart which was also very delicious. Everything there was so fabulous. And we also met/were partially served by the English speaking staffer who answered my early morning inquiry so I got to thank her.

A must for any vegan or vegetarian in Andorra La Vella. Message ahead for the hours if Happycow hasn't been updated yet. On 11/28/16 the Monday hours were 11:45 - 20:30, but the kitchen closed at 15:00 (and I didn't catch when they opened again).

They also had a small rack with cookbooks (not in English) and rice cakes and maybe some other items I didn't catch for sale.
