Plant-based and gluten-free, with a great and varied selection. Even if the flavors aren’t always spot on, everything still tastes good and I’m really grateful that a place like this exists.

Disappointing Vegan Pastries and Overbrewed Matcha 🥲 - Edit
I really wanted to like this place. I was a bit concerned after reading a previous review mentioning that the staff didn’t seem familiar with veganism, but they assured me that none of the pastries contain dairy or eggs.
Read moreUnfortunately, the pastries were simply not edible. The texture was powder like. The drinks were not any better. The matcha was overbrewed and had a strong, almost fishy taste as a result.
I appreciate that they confirmed the pastries are dairy- and egg-free, but the overall quality needs significant improvement.

Not 100%vegan. Ask carefully about the ingredients. - Edit
Most of the products are vegan, unfortunately their employees are not fully aware of veganism. Some confuse "vegan" with "gluten free", the woman at the counter even suggested us to buy bread from them and go to the nearby shop to have them put ham or beef inside the sandwich (clearly not mock meat). This is ridiculous since they claim to be plant based and also because we ask her about "vegan lunch options". And that was not a lost in translation since we both speak Spanish as main language.

Five stars! Best vegan bakery in Argentina - Edit
Went several times to this place during my stay and I absolutely loved it. The food is amazing (especially the Caprese Roll and the Calafate Roll) and the owner is super nice! Really loved getting to know her.

Great vegan bakery - the only vegan place in El Califate (when I was there) - Edit
Fantastic little shop at the outskirts of town. The only 100% vegan (and glutenfree) place in town – they have bread, cakes, cookies etc.

Cannot recommend it highly enough – would go back often if I was still around that part of the world.

Pretty surprised to find an entirely plant based and gluten free bakery anywhere, let alone El Calafate. A nice selection of pastries. They sell a large loaf of gf bread. Coffee too.

They have great options if you want to grab something for breakfast or lunch, we got some focaccia, two tarts and some croissants for the next morning. Perfect if you need a pack lunch for the glacier day trip!

Had a delicious merienda here. Everything is vegan and gluten free, and some of the pastries are made with locally sourced fruits (e.g. Calafate berry) and without refined sugar. I liked that the cookie and cake I chose were not overly sweet but still very flavoursome. My partner tried a focaccia which he also liked.
Read moreIt’s a small bakery with some bar seats. Staff are very friendly. It’s about a 20 min walk to the bakery from the centre, alongside the beautiful lake and fields.
