Amazing affordable vegan food❤ - Edit
I ordered Vegan Pad Thai, Summer rolls and Hoi An Herbal Tea because I went there for early dinner, having skipped the lunch. The dishes were not only amazingly tasty but the portions were also too huge. I unapologetically over ate but loved it.

Average food and environment - Edit
I got the Pho and it was pretty bland and they didn’t give any extras like Thai basil, chilli etc. not very polite service either.

Hate to say this about a vegan place but the food has almost no taste and pretty oily.

Located in an apartment, nice staffs. Food is a little bit salty but delicious, my taste is salty too. I would like a bigger space for this restaurant

Unexpectedly average - Edit
after reading the reviews on HC was expecting some good vietnamese food but was deeply disappointed. The noodles I had were nothing special, very boring. My partner enjoyed his meal, but I honestly think we have had very similar meals that have been significantly better quality and taste. The fried mushrooms just tasted fried, not of mushrooms or of any herbs/spices, just like fried batter. There is also no outside eating area as described in other reviews. Ambience was nice, the bell system was interesting and good to see all vegan menu. Drinks were good, food just wasn't special 2.5/5

(Was previously) Best in the city - Edit
The food here is absolutely incredible, we loved every dish we tried. Their “braised vegan pork” is the best meal I’ve eaten in Ho Chi Minh. Their “vegan milk tea” is very yummy and tastes kind of like melted ice cream. We also tried a couple of different banh mi, of which they have four types—I’m not exactly sure what we got each time as our waiter seemed a bit clueless, but it didn’t matter because everything was delicious!
Read moreThere’s seating out the front of the restaurant as well as up some stairs, past the outdoor kitchen. We sat on the upstairs terrace area which felt partially outside, with large floor fans keeping us cool. There is also an air conditioned area further back which was usually left empty.
The staff here are really smiley and sweet, and from my understanding they are ethically vegan. On top of that and their fantastic food, the prices are really cheap. This place is worth travelling for, trust me. I’m still dreaming about that braised pork.
UPDATE, May 2023:
Gutted to come back and find out the menu has changed. It seems like the place may have a new owner. The marvellous “braised pork” is gone, along with the garlic tofu fried rice and several other great dishes. Additionally, they only offer one type of banh mi now, which was overly mushroom heavy and a bit flavourless. It contained a nice spicy sauce but very few veggies and no herbs. We tried the battered mushrooms which we found boring and flavourless. The guy beside us ordered them too and ended up leaving almost the entire plate. Our side of rice was delivered 15 minutes before the mains so by the time we started eating it had gone stone cold. We also noticed that the drinks were much smaller this time around and mostly just ice.
Pretty disappointing to see that one of my faves has gone downhill and has to drop to a 4 star rating in my eyes. Still worth giving a chance, however, as it remains fully vegan, good value, and the food is still tasty (try the “braised vegan meat & white radish” for the closest “braised pork” equivalent).

Super cheap tasty food - Edit
Fully vegan local food for a very good price. Wasn’t the most amazing food we had in Ho Chi Minh but still tasty and good for the price. Would recommend.

We came here so many times in our week in Ho Chin Mihn. It’s cheaper than other options, it’s quick and most importantly the food is great.

Delicious and affordable vegan food - Edit
We visited this place twice during our stay in Hoi An. The food is nice and very affordable. Especially the Singapore style mushrooms, the seeweed soupe, and the mushrooms with lemongras and chilli are delicious. The two guys running this place are very friendly and the food came super quick! 100% recommend!

Many changes - Edit
Seen Veggie Saigon go through many changes over the years. From downstairs to upstairs to the post covid with the kitchen downstairs and seats upstairs where the kitchen was. Anyway enough waffling. Friendly service. I wasn’t too impressed with the curry but my wife loved her food. A cheap vegan place in the centre of the city deserves 5*.

One of the places to visit in Saigon - Edit
I really enjoyed eating here.
Read moreIt's mostly local food, but also has some Thai dishes. Every item on the menu has a picture and an English translation, so it’s very clear exactly what you’re ordering, and I thought the food was delicious.
The guys who run out are incredibly friendly, and are clearly very passionate about animal rights. I enjoyed talking to them, despite the language barrier.
Although there are a couple of outside tables, the main seating area is upstairs, with an inside and an outside area up there. It’s pretty big, so if you don’t see any tables outside, they’ll almost certainly have space upstairs.
Definitely one of the places to visit while you’re in Saigon.
