CLOSED: Veggie Palace

This is a private kitchen that serves a fixed menu featuring around 10 dishes. Basically you just go in, sit down, and they'll start bringing the food one by one. Food was tasty but didn't blow my mind. It may just be that I've heard so many great things about this place and expected more. I liked the decor and especially how they ensure every table's privacy by putting dividers in between.

Menu is fixed so not much say in choosing what to have. Do call ahead though if you want egg/dairy-free. They are very accommodating. Price was about HKD200/person, quite reasonable I felt.

Wonderfully cooked / prepared Cantonese cuisine - very much like 'home cooking'.

Very short menu - or can be even 'no selection' set dishes - depending on what time of day you visit.

Phone ahead - or book with a group of people to get 'vegan'.

They do use a lot of eggs & milk here in their dishes most days.

When I last went we phoned ahead & got a 'fair' vegaqn selection.

If they get more vegan visitors they may reduce the 'egginess'.

Yummy food. A fun experience. Adventurous set vegetarian menu. Can be made dairy and egg free. Owner speaks English well. Owner's husband's art work decorates the restaurant. Definitely recommended.
