yum yum yum - Edit

At first glance you might not expect much since the decor is very bland, but the food certainly isn't! I was very excited to see a vegan yum cha set on the menu (haven't had yum cha in years). A nice selection of dumplings and buns etc which were very tasty.
Thanks for above tips about the drinks. Vegan Taro shake was delicious. Very reasonably priced too.

Delicious vegan bubble tea - Edit

Didn't have anything to eat here. Only had the bubble tea, but it was very good! The menu doesn't really seem to suggest at first glance that the bubble tea can be vegan but if you ask it seems they can make any of the options vegan for you. Definitely recommend it!

Pros: Delicious bubble tea

Cons: Wee bit pricy perhaps

Tasty Vegetarian Food - Edit

Went in with family on sunday, parking lot at the back. Clean, nice atmosphere. Has Yum Cha style dishes. We had Turnip cakes, Glutinous Rice Rolls, Taiwanese Hamburgers, Minced Mock Pork On Rice & Black Pepper Noodles On Hot Plate. All very tasty.

Pros: Tasty Food, Nice Atmosphere, Friendly Staff

Tasty food, cheap, full. Will return! - Edit

A variety of different dishes, I had the pan fried dimplings, mock pork burger and a mixed ramen noodle soup. Was all fairly cheap and delicious. Clean, good food. Recommended!

Pros: Many options, yummmmm.

Cons: Cheap!

Get on board! - Edit

Refreshingly tastier than the other veg Asian eateries, and happy to see more vegan options being added to the menu.

The wontons are a standout; the most flavoursome I have had in quite some time. The mock is subtle and not too reminiscent of dead animal parts. Very keen to return in the near future.

Pros: Quality vegan options, Good value, Friendly staff

Cons: Not all vegan yet

Just make a visit - Edit

This is cute and cozy, minimal. Delicious. Polite workers, very respectful. And take pride in their work.
I had 4 side dishes. Writing this, I've had 3 of the 4. Dumplings, popcorn and turnip cake. Yeah...just make an effort to come here. :)

Pros: lots of vegan, variety, good price

Been here twice so far. It's awesome! I've had the roasted mock-chicken on rice, and barbecued mock-pork on rice. Will surely return (:

Nice food in the centre of Hawthorn - Edit

When came here at lunchtime on Saturday it was pretty quiet. It's just off the Main street of Hawthorn. Although I asked a lot of questions about what was vegan, I later realised it's all fairly clear on the menu if you look. I chose the ingredients for my own noodle soup: vermicelli noodles, tofu and mushroom balls in a (vegan) 'chicken' broth. The bowl was a decent size for $10.80 and the broth quite nice. The tofu was fine but the mushroom ball had a slightly rubbery texture that wasn't quite my thing. I also ordered a side of glutinous rice rolls for $6.80, which turned out to be different from what I expected: panfried and almost like a dumpling or spring roll in texture, and tasty in a pleasurably greasy way. I hope people find out about this place and come here so it stays open.

Pros: Decent cheap food

Promising addition to Hawthorn - Edit

Have only been once for the $10.80 lunch special. Had the Wonton soup and milk tea which were both very good. The food is described as 'home made' to which I would add the words 'in a good way'. Vegan items are separately identified on the menu although I am not sure why some dishes would not be vegan. May potentially be one of the better mock meat places in Melbourne - I will be back to try more.

Pros: Tasty food at reasonable prices.

Cons: Seems pretty quiet and will need some support to k
