Tasty cheesecakes but cafe lacking in soul

My friend ordered a cappuccino with coconut milk and I ordered a hibiscus tea that came in a big cuppa! It fell like a huge hug coming from a cup. We also ordered these two slices of vegan raw cheesecake (gluten free and only naturally sweetened) to share. And yes, they were as good as they look. If I remember well, these were flavours of the cheesecakes we ordered: Dried apricot and Chocolate & Pomegranate and Raspberry cheesecake.
There was a wide variety of them, which just made it harder to decide which ones to get.

I found the cafe to be slightly overpriced (certainly more expensive than most places in Budapest) and perhaps a little bit overhyped too. It is a small cute cafe with tasty vegan sweet treats but it seems like it is just lacking in soul. It is not exactly the food spot that I would describe as cozy or inviting.  The entire atmosphere is a bit "meh" and the fact that there is not a real coffee espresso machine, makes it all seem a bit amateurish. Also, the staff did not come across as being very welcoming, friendly or even passionate about her work. This was, in all honesty, a bit disappointing to experience. I mean, do not get me wrong, we still enjoyed to come here due to the delicious sweet treats and hot beverages we had. They hit the spot and were just what we needed but I feel like this would not be a honest review if I did not mention the less positive sides of the service.
Despite thinking that that this cafe is not being explored to its full potential, I'd still recommend it to any person who happens to be in Budapest and is curious about raw vegan food and/or who is a cheesecake lover.

Pros: Aesthetically pleasing and super tasty cheesecakes, Fairly central location (near the parliament)

Cons: Staff not very accommodating, Not great atmosphere, Slightly overpriced and overhyped

Cozy café next to the Parliament

Nice buffet-like cafe. Fully vegan/raw. We tried two vegan raw cakes which were just delicious. The coffee there was excellent as well.
The owner/waitress could speak a very good English.
The plastic plants were the only thing which really bothered me 😄.

Pros: fully vegan raw

OK

Food: The buffet is ok, like the other persons here already wrote, some of the food is rather watery. But overall it tastes good.

Unfortunately, the staff isn't very friendly, rather short-spoken.

Boring and unappealing food

Raw food buffé, unfortunately there where not much flavour and the texture was quite watery. Probably better if you come earlier when the food is freshly prepared.

Watery raw food but seemingly nice pastery.

Unfortunately low rating on this place, it seemed the dishes had been prepared several hours before serving (we were there for dinner), flavours were ok but the texture and freshness were somewhat unappealing. The interior felt empty and lacking coziness. Cakes looked delishios at first but we didn't want to stay longer than needed. Would not recommend.

Raw vegans, look no further: excellent raw food for an unbeatable price

Exclusively raw vegan restaurants are rare, so I especially appreciate this tiny gem in Budapest. You can choose from different raw meals such as lecsó style paprika or carrot spaghetti. If you just can't settle for one or two, no problem, just go for the gorgeous healthy and colorful mixed plate. The real highlight of this place are the raw vegan cakes! They are soft, fresh and just omnomnom. If you ever make it down the Danube to Budapest, give Vegan Nyers a try.
Personal story: I especially went there because my partner used to tell me how he found this place a few years ago and wanted to share the experience.

Pros: 100% raw vegan, The best raw vegan cakes ever, Very affordable

Cons: Very small, Limited choice of dishes, Maybe a bit hard to find for outsiders

Ok

I liked the cake but the place lacked atmosphere, was very quiet, and I didnt recieve the best service. The staff member who served didnt smile or say hello, and was not impressed that they had to give me change of 2000huf (my bill came to 1090 and that is the the smallest note I had).

Pros: Nice cake

Cons: Didnt feel welcome

i dont recomend for dinner, only for the cakes

No me ha gustado los platos, son fríos y comparado con el precio de otros restaurantes, no me ha gustado.
Si lo recomiendo para pasteles y merendar.

Cute, but the food's not amazing

The place is small and cozy, but the food is really just for "raw" vegan food enthusiasts... Was not impressed.

Rawlicious

This is a cute smaller sized place at a perfect location. Just beside the Hungarian Parliament :)
The place is quite small, decorated in a minimal style, but still cozy and sweet.
The food is really yummy, during noon there a 3 options to get a lower rate lunch, you can choose a main course (they offer 2 different main meals, but you can ask for a mix, so you can combine a little bit of this and that) - ca. 3-3,5 Euros, you have the option of a 2 course lunch (main meal and a smoothie or cake) - ca. 4,5 Euros, and a 3 course lunch (main meal, smoothie and a cake) - ca.6 Euros.
But still, you can choose from some other meals as well, like raw burger and some Hungarian specialties in raw vegan version.
Also, in every other month, they have an event, called Sütibox (Cakebox), when for like 4,5-5 Euros you get a variety of 6 raw cakes. This is great, and you can see lots of otherwise not vegan/vegetarian people come in for the sweets :) so you have to be quick to grab your box before the run out :)
There is free WIFI, and a huge jug of either water or lemonade where you can fill your glass to your liking.
When the weather is good, you can sit outside, they have a few small tables and chairs.

Pros: very yummy vegan raw cakes, free lemonade or water refill, free wifi and great location

Cons: pretty small place

The BEST raw vegan cake

I have tried the [Bombay cake] the staff recommend. Literally THE BEST raw vegan cake i tasted around the world so far. Really appreciate this light version compare to most raw vegan cake out there.

Nice place :)

Veggie Nyers has a good location. There was a very friendly waitress, who was passionate about her work, she told us everything about the food they served. We found out that everything was raw and that they changed menu daily and what the dishes were made with. There were salads and cakes and three kinds of smoothies. We ordered mixed plates of salads to taste all of them, three different smoothies and one piece of brownie and one piece of raspberry cake. Everything was delicious and salads were made without salt what is very important to me, although there was also salt if you would like to add it. The prices were not high. I think it is a very nice place, worth coming!

Pros: Frequently changing menu, delicious dishes, nice s

Excellent cakes

I joined my bf here for a cake and coffee. The place is nice and really tidy and baby-friendly. The cake selection was good and we tasted two of them - coconut-carob and mint chocolate. Oh my how delicious, probably the best raw cakes I've eaten! My cappucino was done with almond milk and had a very good side taste but it wasn't even warm when I got it and as I asked to make it hotter, they had no way. Well, it's a raw place so I can forgive that, haha. A pleasant experience anyway!

Pros: Good cake selection, Really good cappucino

Cons: Coffee wasn't even warm

Mixed feelings

I was there on a Saturday afternoon with a friend, and we figured that this place primarily aims at serving office workers of the surrounding neighborhoods during the week days, since this place was completely empty and the only employer was kind of surprised that there were suddenly customers. Atmosphere was also quite clinical.

Nevertheless, we had some raw food that was tasty, but not wow. However, the raw chocolate pie I had afterwards was absolutely brilliant, so a big plus there. Also a lot of choice (concerning the cakes and pies, not concerning the normal food).

Pros: Cake and pies

Cons: Atmosphere

Not wow

The staff were friendly and the space is nice.
We didn't have to much choice, the dish was ok but I found nothing special.
Also, my boyfriend felt very ill at the end of lunch :/

Pros: nice environment, fresh food

Cons: not very tasty

Okey food, but not wow.

Very nice waitress giving us information about all the ingredients on the plate.

Half of the different dishes were delicious. The others were okey but not more than that.
