Great food, worth a detour - Edit
This is a pretty great place and tbh if I was travelling south of Sydney and I as thinking of food on the road I would detour off the Hume highway to go here, it’s worth it.

The polenta fries are awesome, deep fried, but crunchy on the outside and soft inside with great flavour.
Smoky mushroom tacos were great although I don’t remover tasting the mushrooms but thinking the bean mix was good, came as 3 soft tacos with avo, tomato, lettuce etc.
Burger was fine, wholemeal, grain style bun, soft potato cauliflower patty, it was good.
Essentially an open air food court with other food places there, Asian, kebabs etc.. General seating is available in the middle, nice on a sunny day, fireplace there as well, some offices, a gin joint and other trendy type places.
It’s on the way in from Mittagong so a hit easier to get to as Bowral can be a headache to get through.

Cozy little spot with healthy vegan options - Edit
While spending a weekend in Bowral, we went a couple of times and tried the Reuben Sandwich, Hot Dog and Nacho Bowl. All were really good and the polenta chips were a healthy fun take on regular hot chips. Make sure to specify the vegan option if you are vegan!

Was excited to find this spot. In a really cute location. Surrounded by gin, wine tastings and other eateries. Also was live music playing. I had the veggie hoto dog with polenta chips. It took nearly an hour to be made (long weekend). I went to check after 45 minutes what was happening and the lady was really rude about it. For $17 I'd have hoped for a bit more toppings on the hot dog. It was pretty good though. The polenta chips were super crispy but required a dipping sauce to really enjoy them.

Decent little place. Worth the search. The service was a bit like they had never had an actual customer and they didn’t have water for customers except in plastic bottles or plastic cups. Also no recycling bins on the site (shard with 5 other nook cafes). But they are all peripheral to the food which was difficult to fault. So great. Loved it and will go back.

This place is amazing. Very lovely and charming. Even my meat eating dad loved his veggie burger and said it was a "great find". I ordered the nachos and the staff were so lovely that they even made me a vegan cashew cheese :)

I had the veggie burger made vegan and it was ok, but nothing to write home about. My wife and her sister had nachos which they both rated at 4 stars. They also had polenta chips and this was the highlight of the visit. The chips were 5 stars for sure. And when they say 'nook' they're not kidding.
