not as good as I was hoping - Edit
Got the spicy Bun Bo Hue, it wasn't even spicy. I also thought it would feature a vermicelli noodle but it had these fat noodles instead. I wouldn't have ordered it had I known this was the noodle and it wasn't spicy. The fake meat was bland. I'm glad this place exists but I had much higher hopes for it. After the meal we walked at Whittier Narrows and the person I was with had to take a poop in the corner of the park because the dish they ordered upset their stomach. (bathrooms in the park were closed that day). They liked their meal while eating it though. I regret my choice. My dish tasted like Pho when I wanted Bun (that’s why I ordered Bún)

Read moreWe tried the rice rolls which were my favorite. Duck soup which came with fresh basil, bean sprouts and cabbage, vermicelli with egg rolls.
All super delicious and huge portions!
Definitely worth a visit and I would absolutely go back.

When my omnivorous husband likes a plant-based restaurant as much as I do, then I know it’s legit. The food here is fresh and delicious. We’ve tried several things on the menu but, because we don’t live nearby, we make the drive when I have a specific craving - #24, the vermicelli bowl. It is a perfect dish served by kind people at a very reasonable price. It’s always followed up by a complementary portion of dessert, a warm concoction of tapioca & coconut milk whose appearance belies its soulful, comforting, grandmotherly goodness.

Authentic Vietnamese - Edit
The first good sign was that I was the only white person there. If the local Vietnamese like the Vietnamese restaurant, it's probably authentic and delicious, and it is. Everything is family style, so be prepared for more food than you expected. The lemongrass chicken was fantastic. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I haven’t had Vietnamese egg rolls since I went vegan 20 years ago and these were just like I remembered but better. Prices are very reasonable and portions are huge. Enjoy!

The whole menu is vegan. Had the “beef” vermicelli soup and the lemon “chicken” plate and was very impressed by the quality of the proteins. Everything was perfectly spiced. Prices were very affordable for CA.

Wonderful food and selection. Family-type atmosphere. I had the vegan egg crepe which was something I haven’t seen before on a vegan menu. It had vegan ham like and Swiss cheese with mushrooms and bean sprouts in a crispy crepe, delish and would order again! As in more traditional Asian restaurants, they serve you a warm dessert soup at the end of your meal. It was very clean and continuously busy. Due to the limited space, they do some food prep in the dining area which is probably considered a “no no” by health authorities. Didn’t bother me at all, and probably helps them keep down the prices by making use of their entire space. This was a great find and I will return!
