Vegetarian-vegan restaurant at Burbacher Market, opened in May 2017. Run by a vegetarian Indian, it offers some Indian dishes, numerous Italian ones (pizza, calzone, spaghetti, maccheroni, tagliatelle, gnocchi, lasagna, gratins, salads, soups) and a few international ones (e.g. Greek, Mexican). All vegetarian dishes are available in a vegan version at the same price or for a small surcharge. Food is always prepared fresh and free from MSG and other flavour enhancers. Seats 12 guests. Delivery service and catering for up to 200 persons. Reported closed August 2023.

Das Veggie House ist in erster Linie ein Lieferservice. Allerdings haben sie vor Ort auch Platz für bis zu 30 Gäste und man kann durchaus im Laden Essen.

Der Service ist sehr freundlich und die Preise günstig. Die Portionen sind schön groß.
Alles ist von Haus aus vegetarisch und jedes Gericht (!) kann für einen kleinen Aufpreis auch vegan zubereitet werden.

Das Essen dort ist echt super lecker und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Ich stelle gerade meine Ernährung von normal auf vegan um. Und man merkt dort keinen Unterschied und die Sachen schmecken so viel besser wie in normalen Restaurants. Selbst mein Mann, der durch und durch Fleischesser ist, ist total begeistert von den veganen und vegetarischen Gerichten. So freundliche Mitarbeiter habe ich in noch keinem anderen Restaurant erlebt. Dies wird aufjeden Fall unser neues Stammrestaurant.

I was blown away with this place...amazing mango chutney for my veggie nuggets and fries appetizer. My pictures aren’t the prettiest, but this place is WELL worth the stop. Best vegan place I’ve found in the entire area. Prices are super cheap and the lady working there was so sweet.

My husband and have eaten at Veggie House several times already and it was always delicious. I've had one of the Rollos and the other times three different Indian dishes. I love that you can have a vegan version of all of their items on the menu. The portions are also pretty big and nourishing. My favorite dish was the okras and rice. Mmmh....so good!
Read moreSince they have so many choices some of the Indian dishes taste Very similar. They have different main ingredients, but the sauce is the same, I think. Of course that's understandable. They do have to make compromises in order to be able to offer such a big variety of food: Rollos, rice dishes, gnocchi, pizza, noodles, Indian dishes, salads...what more can you ask for.

Lovely people and really good food. Have been with non-vegans and the family were very helpful when it came to choosing the food. A friend of ours had never eaten what Germans call "vleisch" and was given a little bit to try. If you like Indian food, you will love the food here. All tastes catered for with pizzas, pasta etc. though. We eat in house usually, reducing waiting time. House own app to order is great,too

In the beginning, I would have given 5 stars. At the moment, the delivery service seems to be more and more demanded and food is getting prepared with less love and caution. Still great junk, delivery takes around 1hr, a looooooot of vegan option, never been there.

You get much tasty food for what you pay. They have an enormous choice of meals - Italian, Indian, German and much more. Everything you get there is vegetarian or (on demand) vegan. The restaurant is well reachable with public transit and definitely worth a visit. The only thing is that the delivery service they offer could be a bit faster.

Superb Indian food - Edit
I first had a samosa, which came with an amazing dip. The vegan mango lassi tasted truly mango-y and the sweetness level was just perfect. My main dish was palak kofta, which was well-seasoned and very tasty. Given the fact that I already had a starter and a filling drink, it wasn´t really surprising that I couldn´t finish it off. Luckily they also offer delivery service so they could put it into a small food container for me to take home. It still tasted very good the other day, even cold. The staff were very friendly in general. It´s a bit of a shame that there´s not outdoor seating, but then the huge amount of vegan choices more than makes up for that. I´m looking forward to trying out the other Indian vegan dishes.

I had the Samosa and the Chhole Naan. Both were very tasty und the portions where really large. I especially enjoy the Samosa Dip. All in all you get a lot for your Money. The staff was really friendly. The inside is okay, the seats are comfortable, but the Veggie House hasn't got a special atmosphere and there is no outdoor seating. The ingredients of the Chhole Naan are Potatoes, chick peas, onions, lettuce, naan bread, tomatoes, spices, garlic, ginger, Indian special sauce, rice & lettuce.
