Always yummy - Edit
Anytime I am near a veggie grill I have to stop to get the Caesar salad.
Read moreI took a point off because this location serves it in a smaller bowl than the other locations. They also barely put any sauce on it but I asked for extra and they provided it for free. The staff was very nice and inside was clean.

All Vegan unsatisfying - Edit
While it’s great to have a fast food vegan option, after eating here I’m always left fed but not very satisfied. Food is a bit boring and somewhat overpriced. Most of the flavors are somewhat bland.

Read moreJust as tasty as I remember! This spot is awesome, takeaway is sustainable/eco-friendly and we enjoyed it before our hike (so many trails nearby)! Also, love the staff/personnel - even looking like a riffraff they called me “honey.” 💗🥹 Ordered the Sweet Potato Fries, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Crispy Buffalo Chickin' (could have used more sauce but I inhaled it all the same).

I've been to several California locations from Long Beach and back to the Bay. Those delicious little wings do not disappoint! Rad that we have a few Bay Area locations. If you're new to being a concern and considerate eater, come on in! Grab a menu, order at the counter, pay, and get ready to enjoy yourself. They also have adult beverages if you're on vacation or your life is a holiday! Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookies of course!

The mondo nachos are absolutely unbeatable. The burger specials always HIT and they offer coupons and offers through the app sometimes!!! Their in-house drinks are delicious when available.

Flavorless and Juvenile Service - Edit
Nothing had its own distinct flavor—it’s like they throw a pound of salt to bum-rush the taste buds, an evasive attempt at tricking the average, non-gustatory American into thinking there is taste. If your taste bud is discerning, this isn’t the right place to eat.
Read moreThe two times we were there, they mess up our order drastically. It’s like the kitchen staff was high out of the mind when orders came in. And the staff just seems incompetent at taking and rectifying the order, like dealing with juveniles at a halfway house.
We won’t be back to this business.

Food has gone downhill - Edit
I used to love this place, and the menu items were consistently good. But I’ve noticed over the last couple of years that the quality and flavor of their food has plummeted. Wish they would bring back their old menu items and food quality.

Dependable on the Road - Edit
I wish there were a few more Veggie Grill locations in Northern California, not because they’re a frequent stop, but because when one’s a vegan on the road, it’s great to know that there’s a reliable place one can go to. They’re always friendly and I think they’re much better quality than non-veg fast food places.
Read moreI tried the Reuben on Rye here and thoroughly enjoyed it as a treat with some fries. The sandwich was a little more hot and spicy than I’d expected but very satisfying. The fries were very good but not quite as good as those of the Veggie Grill in Corte Madera, perhaps, a little less crispy.
Pros: Vegan!, Reliable quality

Such a good reliable standby. Tempeh BLT and Santa Fe crispy chicken sandwich are amazing! The salads are great too. The bowls I’ve tried (masala curry and another I don’t remember) were a little salty for me.

As good as it gets for vegan fast food - Edit
It’s certainly not necessarily healthy ( although you can get healthy options in the salads and bowls), but it’s tasty and all vegan! Love the Buffalo bomber with sweet potato fries. I’ve loved almost every item I’ve tried here. Wish there were more around.

Good “fast” food - Edit
Stopped here for a quick bite and had the Buffalo “Chick’n” Wrap and a Half Kale Cesar Salad. The wrap was tasty, but a little difficult to eat, as the tortilla did not wrap all the way around. The kale salad was delicious with a light “creamy” Cesar dressing. Some of the toasted sesame croutons were burnt tasting, but otherwise it was a quick and filling meal.

So-so - Edit
My family always wants to put our food dollars towards vegan establishments. Unfortunately, we thought Veggie Grill was only marginally decent. Very friendly staff. The BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and Nashville Hot Chickin’ Sandwich are pretty good - both have good flavor. The Santa Fe Crispy Chickin’ was so-so. The Mac-n-Cheese was pretty terrible. The Chickin’ Nuggets off the kids menu were so-so. The meal was overall a C and also fairly expensive. We don’t plan on going back, but from reading other reviews, it sounds like the quality differs from location to location.

A Breath of Fresh Air - Edit
I can't speak for the Walnut Creek location, as this is my first time at a Veggie Grill, however, I'm thoroughly impressed. The staff is friendly, bilingual and informative, which I love! Instantly, I was greeted with a smile, so I felt like I was at home. The music is jamming, the food is slamming. I ordered the mac and cheese, it's mediocre, yet better when you add salt (a lot) and pepper. It's very cheesy, it could just use a bit more seasoning. The Tortilla Soup has more flavor than the mac and cheese, definitely has some cumin; it's tasty though and perfect for the cold weather. I haven't had tortilla soup in a long time so this was very refreshing, in my opinion. The Beyond Meat burger never let's me down so there's that. The establishment is very tidy, cozy and welcoming. The restrooms are immaculate as well, which speaks volumes about this location. I will definitely return when I'm back in the Bay!

Good enough - Edit
I agree with another recent post that this place is not as together as the Walnut Creek location. It’s a nice looking location and the staff are friendly but my table was sticky and as I noticed two other sticky tables across from me another customer came in and had to get napkins to wipe down a fourth table himself. 30 minutes later a person did come through and wipe down the tables. They also had none of the deserts listed on the menu. If I lived in the area I’d probably tend to go to one of the many other vegan places in the area. All that said it is still a decent place to bring a veg-curious omni for lunch. I also wouldn’t have been this harsh on an omni fast food place, but this could be someone’s first and last exposure to plant based foods so I feel they should pull things together a bit. I also can’t imagine a circumstance where a traditional fast food spot would say “We are out of all of our desserts.”
