Delicious Vegetarian Buffet - Edit

I went for the lunch buffet with another vegetarian and a meat eater friend. We all loved the buffet! The best part was it was a huge buffet and you didn't have to worry about watching for the items with meat, unlike other Indian restaurant where you have to maneuver around meat dishes. The food was delicious and the price was amazing. Service was also great. I would recommend this Indian restaurant to all!

Pros: excellent food, good value, friendly staff

Loved it ! - Edit

My husband and I dropped in to the Veggie Garden on
Saturday for lunch. We are very happy that it is a PURE VEGETARIAN Restaurant! My husband does not tolerate
canola oil very well and when we mentioned this the chief
came out and said he could make some special dishes for him
with out Canola Oil. The food was fantastic and the staff
were very friendly and kind. The price was also very good.
We have no complaints and hope to return there the next time
we are up in Edmonton. We recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Janice

Pros: Great food, Friendly helpful staff, Great Price

Delicious - Edit

I came here on a Saturday night around 5:30pm for the dinner buffet(12.99)When we arrived the owner greeted us, let us pick our own seat, get settled and mentioned that they were doing some testing on the buffet table right now and that we would need to wait about 30 minutes to an hour if we wanted to have the buffet but to feel free and order things on the menu and it would be made fresh for us. We were in no hurry so this was not a problem for us, especially since he was so friendly. I had many questions about the menu since there are no dish descriptions and many of the selections were new to me. We ordered the Chhole-Bature while we were waiting and oh-my-gosh was it ever good. It was freshly made roti bread served with chana masala and fresh vegetables, the flavors blew all other Indian restaurants out of the water(and trust me, I have eaten at many). 45 minutes later the buffet was ready and it did not leave anything to disappoint , every time we picked something up the owner came to our table with side sauces that we forgot for our dish! Some would think it was overbearing, but it made the dish taste so amazing that I was very appreciative every time he came over. All in all this was an extremely pleasant experience, everything on the menu is vegetarian and everything was great. I will definitely be coming back here, even though it's a very long drive from my home on the North East side of town.

Service 5/5, food 5/5 and the decor was pretty, but it really doesn't matter when it tastes this good :-)

Pros: Excellent food, Excellent staff, Excellent seating space

Quality food and service - Edit

This was our first visit to Veggie Garden. We went for the Lunch buffet. We there and Noon and were greeted at the door by friendly staff and promptly offered a table. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of room between tables. We were given Menus and offered to order something to drink. We helped ourselves to the buffet which we walked by on our way to the table. Everything on the buffet was clearly labeled and organized. The food was delicious and spiced just right. For Indian food it was not over spiced and the flavor was full bodied. During the meal we were offered extra Naan and our water glasses were kept full. Service was very good and buffet price was only $8.99 per plate. This included salad, main course, and desert. I didn't have the desert, but my Husband did and he said it was tasty and soothed his sweet tooth. The Chai tea was nicely done also! This was a great experience for us at Lunch time. I really enjoyed the Daal.

Pros: excellent food , good value, friendly staff

Cons: location
