My go to comfort vegan place. Kinda greasy by default, but they accomodate if you ask to tone down the oil.

Incredible food for a great price - Edit
Veggie Garden is an absolute gem! Everything is such a great price and the food is amazing. We tried the thai iced tea, spring rolls, wontons with chili sauce, Kung Pao chicken, and General’s Chicken— all superb, but the wontons were our favorite. Definitely get the lunch special if you can! Highly recommend this place.

Solid Chinese Veg, GF friendly - Edit
We ordered takeout and had a great experience. The service was on top of it, the menu expansive, and the cooks were solid. I am gluten intolerant and they were accommodating and knowledgeable: all the faux meats are off limits and they have GF soy sauce. We ate hot and sour soup, orange tofu, eggplant, and Thai iced tea. All was magnificent except the orange tofu which had an underwhelming sauce, but I give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a substitution from orange “chicken”. Also it didn’t come with rice...I don’t know if that was an oversight but I wish they mentioned that when we ordered.

The best food I’ve ever had. - Edit
The very garlic fried noodle, sweet & sour pork, orange chicken, pot stickers and fried rice are to die for. We will be making the 45 minute trip each way) back here often just for this.

Don’t let the “fast food” description fool you. These are legitimate plates. Full of flavor and plenty of choices. The chef is accommodating; we asked for no oil on most plates and that was honored. Small place, but plenty of seatings.

Disappointed, Overpriced, Serves Honey - Edit
*** HONEY at this location (currently listed as Vegan). The exploitation of bees is not vegan. When we asked the staff if the honey was put in anything they advised it was for drinks. There was a language barrier so we are unsure if it is upon request for tea or if they put it in all the drinks as sweetener.

$9.95 Garlicky Noodle Dish: loved this
$12.95 Ribs: seemed like it was well prepared but we didn't enjoy the flavor.
$12.95 Sesame Chicken: awful, tasted like a sweet and sour dish. We love Sesame chicken so we were very disappointed.
*Dishes do not come with rice. Rice is $2, which is pretty high considering the price of the food.
$5.95 Pepper & Salt Tofu: Not very good flavor and way too oily. We actually love salt and pepper Tofu and this seemed like their own take on it. We really didn't like it.
$3.50 Thai Tea : Good but tasted just a bit off, couldn't place why.
$3.50 Thai Coffee: We enjoyed this
We came at lunch initially. There was a huge to go order which had to be wheeled out, a 10 top and several other seats were filled.
We were impressed with the speed of service.
Restrooms: Super clean! No baby changing station. One restroom for all.
Pros: Quick service, Super clean
Cons: HONEY WTF, Overpriced, Rice not included

Nice all-vegan option - Edit
I very much enjoyed my visit here. Small restaurant and it was packed on a Saturday night, but had me seated within 10 minutes. Excellent, attentive, friendly service. I asked for recommendations, ended up getting the General’s Chicken with steamed rice,,spring rolls, chocolate/raspberry cake, and a Thai iced tea - all of it excellent. I got the chicken dish medium spicy, which was just right for me. Very clean place too. Highly recommended for quick, delicious food that is very affordable.

Amazing Restaurant - Edit
I've only been to a small handful of all-vegan restaurants throughout the States, but so far this is perhaps my favorite yet! The interior seemed to be fairly newly renovated, and really stuck out.
Read moreWe were greeted warmly by the server and we grabbed a seat fairly close to the door. Our appetizer of spring rolls was really nice with the sweet/sour sauce, and we also got awesome wontons as well.
My compatriot got the General's Tso's Chicken and I got the Blackpepper chicken. While the Black Pepper Chicken was really good, it was also very spicy, which isn't really my forte. But spicy food lovers rejoice!
All in all, I strongly recommend this restaurant to others. They have an amazing selection of Asian dishes that have been Americanized and veganized! I will definitely return for sure!
Pros: Nice interior, Friendly, attentive service, Great, large selection
Cons: Can be hard to see from street

Fantastic Vegan Chinese Restaurant - Edit
After reading the Happy Cow and Google reviews my wife & I decided to give Veggie Garden a try, and we very glad we did. We went for lunch, and the food was so great we ordered two extra dishes to have for dinner. There have a wide variety of dishes and were very accommodating with a gluten-free requirement. We will definitely return to Veggie Garden and will tell all our Bay Area friends about it.

Excellent experience! - Edit
Dinner at Veggie Garden was fantastic! I was in town for business and have been trying to find some places close by that I liked. The service was fast and courteous. The best I've experienced in my few days here. The food was great. It's basically all Chinese style dishes, but completely vegan. I had the Thai iced tea, appetizer salad which was complementary, spring rolls, and Happy Family entrée which includes a 'beef' and 'chicken' meat plus a bunch of veggies in a special house sauce. This one wasn't spicy, but quite tasty. I left very pleased and very full.

Reasonable prices, they served the food super fast, and the sweet and sour soup was delicious.
The black pepper veggie "chicken" was also pretty good, but a little less in my opinion.

Wonderful - Edit
Wanting to try a new place, we headed to Veggie Garden. You know it is good when we are talking about our next visit and who we want to being here before we are even done with our meal.
Read moreStaff is very friendly. Restaurant is clean and pretty. They have two monitors that show pictures of all the food items. Food is tasty.
We tried scallion pancakes, Garlic Eggplant, and Curried Chicken and Orange Chicken. Our least favorite was the curry dish, but it was still really good. The meal came with a salad with Ginger Vinegar dressing. That was incredibly delicious.
We were very pleased with our meal. Prices are reasonable. Portions are good for sharing.
The smoothies look tasty, but we are just too full.
We are eager to return. We highly recommend this nice little place.
