Good food - Edit

We stopped here for a quick "late" lunch.
We had the vegan Eggplant panini and the Vegan Bolognese pasta.
Both very good in flavor.

Pros: Good flavors, Quick Food, Good prices

Cons: Cups were dirty

Vegan pizza parlor - Edit

They have a nice variety of interesting pizzas, many of which have Indian flavors. We enjoyed our pizza. It was really satisfying after beers at Aeronaut. However, I was a bit disappointed with the toppings, as the tomatoes weren't very fresh or flavorful.

My biggest complaint is the vegan surcharge. While most pizzas can be veganized, it costs $3 extra to do so, so this becomes a really expensive pizza - between $20 and $25 depending on what you order. While I understand that vegan cheese is more expensive, it's hard to imagine that Daiya costs *that* much more, unless their standard pizzas use really cheap cheese. The pricing makes it unaffordable for vegans, and it's strange to have such a large surcharge at a veggie establishment.

OMGoodness - Edit

I am in love with the Veggie Crust in Boston!!! Coincidentally we saw their foodtruck with advertisment on our way to find something to eat. Actually we wanted to go to the cute streets with all italian restaurants - but when I see something veggie I can't resist, so we drove back to Somerville where we came from because we stayed there in a AirBnB. And we do not regret it! Even my critical flexitarian boyfriend was convinced. It is not a high luxury restaurant - more what you would expect in Germany to be a typical "Döner Kebab Bude" - but I like the style anyway. Maybe they could get some nicer chairs and tables, but I don't really care, because the food is amazing! First, they are vegetarian only with vegan options. Second: Pizza, guys! PIZZA! Who doesn't love a good pizza?! There are some interesting pizzas to choose but you can also build your own. They also have salad (house salad tastes just perfectly good), they have flatbrad and pasta. They also offer tons of juices and nicecream (the nice employee offered me to try them all and I loved chocolate and coffee!!). So if you are veggie/vegan, if you love Pizza and if you are close to Boston: YOU. HAVE. TO. GO. TO. VEGGIE CRUST IN SOMERVILLE! NOW! Highly recommended.

PS: my boyfriend dislikes that vegan restaurants mostly do not offer regular sodas but some fancy lemonades which are mostly expensive (I like it though because I do not like coke but sometimes I don't mind to drink one from time to time) so he liked that the vegcrust has coke, fanta,...

Disappointing - Edit

We came opening week and got pizza and nice cream. The pizza was only so-so and it was unclear which items were vegan or could be made vegan. The nice cream was terrible. We gave it a second chance and there was some improvement.

Loved it! - Edit

Coming from Cape Cod, I always have to try a new veg spot when I get out to Boston. Was feeling like pizza this time so I chose Veggie Crust. It's a small spot so we opted for takeout, but the girl who took care of us was very pleasant. We decided to "try a slice" in the car before heading home and ended up just sitting there eating all of it ?? it was great! They let you do half and half pizzas so I got half of the coconut alfredo, half cauliflower Manchurian. Both vegan style. I still can't decide which one I liked more but I'd recommend both.
We also tried to spicy fries and a couple of flavors of the nice cream. These were good too but the pizza is what I would go back for.

Oh. My. God. !!!!! - Edit

Had the vegan coconut Alfredo and thought I died and went to heaven. Holy goodness! The pizza was out of this world. But the ice cream. OH. MY. GOD. Definitely rivals So Delicious brand. Was so thrilled with this place. Will be back!

Excellent Vegan Pizza - Edit

Long awaited Veggie Crust is finally open and well worth the wait. While many vegan pizzas are to be tolerated, the Veggie Crust vegan pizzas are to be savored. Do not pass up the gobi Manchurian pizza, it is something special. The whole wheat crust was excellent; crispy, but not like a cracker. Both the Manchurian sauce and the curry leaf pesto were good, although the pesto was a bit oily. As a bonus the vegan cheese was used sparingly, which is not always the case. In addition to pizza, Veggie Crust has many other items, all of which are vegetarian, most of which can be made vegan. There is a full blown juice bar and, as an added bonus, several vegan ice cream flavors for dessert. Overall a delicious and welcome addition to the Boston area's vegan restaurants.

Great Veg Pizza - Edit

Light, yet doughy crust topped with fresh ingredients. What's not to love? We went half and half with traditional veggie toppings and the Manchurian cauliflower, skipping any cheese. The staff was very friendly and happy to help.

I'm not surprised the people behind Dosa n Curry would come up with another winner.
