Awsome burger - Edit

Place is really nice and cozy! The staff was extremely polite and spoke excellent English, which is extra in Girona, The burger was very tasty! I was on my bike and they insisted to take it inside and taking care of it while I am having my meal. That was so great. Will come again!

Pros: Caring staff, Good atmosphere, Tasty food

Cons: Short walk out of downtown

Love that place! So much vegan choice - Edit

I've been there twice and I enjoyed my dinner each time. They do very good burgers and tapas. The choice is huge, prices are low, the owner is super friendly. Portions are sometimes quite small but it allows you to try many dishes. I also appreciate the shop inside: you can bring back home part of what you ate. A safe place when you're a starving vegan...

Pros: many choices, good food, friendly owner, small prices, vegan shop inside

Cons: portions quite small

Lovely place - Edit

I'm in love with this place. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. Not a "healthy restaurant" but a restaurant created by people with values and who actually believe in what they do. One of my favourite restaurants.

Vegan in your face - Edit

What a place. A sensation. This is Veganna and you know it. Ring the bell to gain admission and prepare to be moved by the beautiful imagery. Run by a very professional and friendly gentleman, this appears to be a one man show. Help is on hand from his trusty assistant. Alas, we only had a soya latte but saw the food being lovingly and freshly prepared then served. It looked and smelt amazing. There is also a take out counter where you can buy home made hummus and olive tapenade and vegan deli items such as what appeared to be seitan and tofu cutlets. A very relaxed atmosphere with a modicum of formality makes for a rewarding experience. A room at the rear with high wall facing seating is decked with further vegan imagery and messages of compassion. I would seriously recommend Girona as a progressive vegan dining destination.

Great restaurant and take-away! - Edit

Vegan food with many Spanish dishes. Offers tapas, appetizers, main dishes (wraps, burgers, noodles, ...) and desserts, as well as healthy drinks (or also soft drinks), coffee, ... - everything one needs. Tastes very good!
Starting from a small restaurant im March 2015, the owner will expand in April 2016: a vegan food shop plus a larger restaurant with food delivery for Girona. The rooms are turned from a bakery to a restaurant, and the two large old bread ovens will remain as decoration. We got a tour in March 2016, and it looked already great!
One has to go there!

More than a restaurant - Edit

Much more than just a restaurant. It will become an icon of the vegan philosophy in Catalonia, no doubt. Very good food, cozy and nice place and wonderful staff. They have a room for groups that is an old oven. Perfect for groups and families. Best vegan burgers of the area.

Pros: Philosophy

Cons: Not in the tourist area

Very good value, lovely staff, a very vegan place - Edit

There are some excellent burgers and tapas along with juices, smoothies and a few dessert options, all tasty and very affordable.
The owner and staff are genuinly nice people and very devoted vegans. The service is quick and you can read quotes and look at the pictures on the walls while you wait -- me and my family liked it.

I fully recommend this place!

Pros: good food, cheap, lovely staff

Movement or Restaurant? - Edit

the food was really good however, the walls are completely covered with anti cruelty and environment propaganda which is a little unnecessary in an already vegan place but perhaps more necessary to the un converted. Perhaps being vegan, by now should feel less of a movement and more of a normal thing to be.

Pros: Lovely food

Cons: Animal cruelty on walls

Great burgers! - Edit

Completely vegan place, very happy to have found it with happycow. We took the chef's recommendations and had a good gazpacho, a smoothie and some epic burgers. I totally recommend this place. Also the walls are covered with inspirational quotes etc, felt I was in vegan 9gag ;-)

Pros: 100% vegan and plenty of options. super cheap.

Very Vegan Vibe! - Edit

My non-vegan sister and I visited Veggana while spending the day in Girona. We had an enjoyable time at the restaurant and the food was tasty, but the burger could have been improved by having a healthier bun and a side salad. My sister had a tex mex salad but it came with no salsa, guac, sour cream or tortillas. The food was fresh and a reasonable price, and the menu is quite varied and the staff were very friendly.
The restaurant itself is a nice area, and at the back of the restaurant is a room which used to be a bread mill. There are lots of tables, so finding room shouldn't be a problem.
The animal rights posters were a little off putting, especially seeing a dead polar bear over my sister's shoulder as a I ate and she found them a bit much, but I do quite like the concept. Maybe one poster wall rather than all over the walls would be better.
Susanna waited on us and was very kind and helpful.
Would recommend; good, cheap food, very vegan vibe.

Pros: Quite reasonable prices, All vegan menu, Friendly, enthusiastic staff

Cons: Animal rights posters a bit much, Portions quite small and simple

Vegan Heaven - Edit

I visited this Veggana one night with my parents (both non-vegan) while travelling, and we were all blown away. We were the first dinner guests of the night (the Spanish tend to eat rather late) but we were made to feel very welcome by the owner, who is a passionate vegan (ask to see his arm tattoo if you don't believe me!) and a lovely man.

We each ordered the set menu, which consisted of a salad, a platter of dips and bread, a burger (which turnned our to be BEST VEGAN BURGER OF MY LIFE) and a dessert - icecream in our case. All this plus a drink for only 12 euros each. Everything is hand made in store every day.
Another plus is that the staff all speak excellent English, and Tristan the owner actually speaks 5 languages, so Veggana is very tourist friendly.

We chatted to Tristan for a bit about the vegan lifestyle, he is very down to earth and open, saying to us that his personal motto was 'Do unto others what you would have them do unto you. It's simple, really.'
Head down to support Tristan's great new project if you are ever in town, whether you are vegan or not, simply for a great meal if not for the beautiful philosophy behind everything he does.

Pros: English spoken, Excellent food, reat value

Great value tasty vegan food - Edit

We found this place on Happy Cow and were given a really warm welcome and were made to feel at home despite our non-existent Spanish! The food was fantastic and amazing value, especially the burgers and ice cream.

Pros: Great value, English spoken, Friendly
