Good. My friend ordered guay jab (breakfast noodles) and it was good too. Had vegan fermented pork, nice too. They had Khao man (oily rice) that was excellent. My Chinese looking friend ate so many plates of it
This place was shown on Google maps but not listed in Happy Cow, so I added it. It's a typical buffet style place. A plate of rice with a selection of two dishes goes for 35 baht. They also do vegan versions of the various gwatiow noodle dishes. Like most vegan places in Thailand they don't stay open late, but unlike most they do at least stay open till about 6pm, so an early evening meal is possible! In fact, they seem so popular that on two of the occasions I was there they were still open at close to 7pm, because people kept turning up wanting to buy food. They seem very popular and with good reason. There is no written English and the owners probably speak little or no English, but they may know some. I spoke to them in Thai, so I didn't find out. Finding the right place might be a challenge given the absence of English signage, but look out for the characteristic Jay word which more or less means vegan. In Thai it's spelt with just two letters - something that looks like a lower case b followed by a letter that looks somewhat like a back to front G. Well worth the effort. I ate there three times during my short visit to Ubon and all the dishes I tried were delicious.
