Good food here - Edit
I decided to try this place because it's very close to the Botanical Garden. After lunch, I just walked a few blocks over there and really enjoyed the free attraction.
But back to the restaurant... they nearly always post their menu of the day on their Facebook page. I had been watching their Facebook page every day, and the two meals offered today looked interesting. There are 2 meals of the day. I chose the more expensive one (without asking the price of either). The one I got was 15.500 pesos, which is more than even the restaurants in Poblado, but the food was good. I got a plate that was "Arab" in nature, with hummus, pita bread and several other items. The meal also came with soup, juice and a small dessert.
The place is only a few blocks over from the "Hospital" metro station. I would recommend the restaurant to those who will be in the area, especially for lunch before visiting the botanical garden.
Pros: Food good, Service excellent
Cons: The most I've paid for a set meal in MDE

fresh and delicious - Edit
I arrived at 2:30 and found the crew scrubbing the place clean. However, they put together the set menu of the day, including soup, entree (something-patties and eggplant with rice), salad, juice, and dessert, for COP$8000 (US$5). The food was fresh and delicious without any added seasonings. The young crew was eager to know what I thought of the meal. I wish I lived around the corner; I'd go there every day!
Pros: excellent food

fantastic shiny brand new veg spot - Edit
This place is awesome and a great example of the new vegetarian movement sweeping Medellin. It just opened recently (around the last week of January) and is staffed by young, positive, friendly locals. They're still in the process of getting the final touches finished but it's absolutely worth a stop, especially if you are in the area of the Botanical Garden and/or Parque de los Deseos - in fact it's a super spot for dinner before catching a free movie there on Fridays or Saturdays. Easily reachable either from the Hospital metro station (two blocks), or by a 5-10 minute walk from the above attractions.
Creative Antioquian treats with a modern touch, curries, veggie burgers, great soups, teas, and coffee. On a lovely oasis of a street and features some very welcoming outdoor seating. The first restaurant of its kind in this neighborhood, and hopefully not the last!
Pros: friendly, great location, creative
Cons: still brand new, a bit hard to find the first time
