Cute place with tasty food! - Edit
⚠️ Warning: This place is only open for breakfast and lunch. I don't know the actual opening times so I was not able to update it in HappyCow.
Read moreWe arrived at 6PM and the restaurant was exceptionally open for a group that had made a reservation. When they heard we were turned away by the owner, they were very kind and told her they would share their dinner with us 😍 So we ended up having dinner at this place and had stir-fried noodles and algae soup. The food was simple but very well cooked and flavorful. We were especially thankful for the generous Taiwanese people who decided to share their dinner with us.

Classic Taiwanese breakfast - Edit
This restaurant is one of just a few places for herbivores to dine in Matsu. Some dishes contain eggs but otherwise there are plenty of vegan options although if you can't read Chinese you'll need to translate the menu. They have some classic Taiwanese breakfast dishes with some Matsu specialties such as sweet potato dumplings. Beware that it can get rather busy depending on when you visit so be prepared to wait. They often use single-use cups and plates for dining-in too, so bring your own reusables if you can to be more eco-friendly.
Read morePros: cheap and tasty, one of the only veggie options in Matsu
Cons: can be busy at times, uses many single-use items, no English
