Great food - Edit
I had the vegan special which was a couple of small starters, rice, curry dishes, breads and a sweet treat. Well priced at £14.

Uncomfortably spicy - Edit
A well varied menu, pleasant service. The food though, with the exception only of the rice and dosa, was spicy to the point of being uneatable without having been marked as such - and I say that as a lover of Indian food normally.

Disappointing! - Edit
Oh dear. I used to go here a lot many years ago and it was great. I took my family here and what a disappointment! My curry was late and cold, the Thali included some kind of paste on a burger bap - odd, and they added a service charge without stating its optional. They also seems to be rushing us out the door and had their coats on ready to go : /

Cons: Seems you get whatever is lying about, Overpriced for what it is, Poor service

Absolutely Delicious Indian Food - Edit
Huge menu including a lot of vegan choices.
Read moreEverything I have tried has been absolutely delicious but some dishes are very spicy so take note of the spice level ( which is marked).
The Thali is really good as you get a complete meal including dessert at a good price.
You are allowed to bring your own alcohol ( corkage charge) which is excellent if you want a few drinks cheaply.
Pros: Lots of choice , Vegan dishes clearly marked , You can bring your own booze!
Cons: Some dishes very spicy, It's quite basic reminds me of a canteen, Not many puddings

Northern Indian spices, Southern Indian dish - Edit
We visited on a cold, windy Saturday in December (actually, my birthday as it happens). My partner had a Gujerati curry, and I went for iddli sambar. It was OK, but in my opinion, a true sambar should be fairly thin, and you should be able to taste the curry leaves and the tamarind. This sambar was a thick stew, the prevailing spice being cumin. Likewise I think iddlies should be fairly light and these were heavy. it was basically a north Indian iddli sambar.
Read moreThe Kingfisher was nice, but I'd have preferred an IPA, which is the best beer to accompany Indian food, if you ask me.
Pros: Extensive menu, Lots of south Indian dishes

Delicious authentic Indian - Edit
Vegetarian and vegan restaurant with numerous vegan dishes. The restaurant is frequentes by other indians which is always a good sign! We drive over an hour to this indian and it is always worth it! I do wish it had a slightly more intimate feel to make it a 5 star but the food is well worth it and very reasonable. I am obsessed with the dhall khachori and we regularly have a thali which is great value for money. The service is usually good but can be a little slow at times but it is usually very busy there and they are running around doing their best. Well worth a visit if you find the local indian restaurants generic and want to try something different. Its also BYO which is great, their vegan lassis are amazing, to give an example of cost we had 2 vegan thalis and 3 side dishes and it came to £35
Read morePros: Lots of vegan options, delicious food, cheap
Cons: Could have more of an intimate feel, , Need some vegan indian desserts (only has sorbet)

Amazing variety and flavour - Edit
We've eaten here many times, always as takeaway, and have ordered something different each time. The menu is tasty and so extensive, you could probably eat here once a week and still find new dishes after 3/4 months!
Read moreThe individual dishes are also reasonably priced - £3-6 a pop - so you can order lots of different dishes and really fill your boots.
Tip - I would suggest that you look at the spice levels on the menu as the dishes can be very hot. Personally I love that but it has caught out some of my family members in the past!
Pros: Fantastic flavour, Huge menu, Great service
Cons: Can't think of any!

A bit spicy, but well worth a visit - Edit
Brilliant vegan range. We had the bhel puri, potato bhajees, dahl makhani and masala mutter. Both of the mains were too spicy for me (I like very mild food). However the staff provided a soya yoghurt on request and the meal was very nice overall.

Visited last night and wow, what an amazing menu to choose from! The vegan mango lassi was delicious and a really exciting thing to discover on the menu! I don’t really think you could go wrong here, everything is clearly labelled vegan, some can be modified and each of the dishes I chose were well spiced and a joy to eat. I even ended up purchasing some extra bits after the meal from their counter to take home for the next day.

When we visited I had the vegan Thali which was absolutely amazing. Well worth the money, it's phenomenal to think it almost cost the same as a McDonald's and you get 100x the flavour.

Well I would said the next most stunning restaurant/cafe in Cardiff, Wales would be VFS.
Read moreI am always very skeptical when I know I am about to get Indian food in places other than my country as it has set a very tough standard for others... lol...
Guess what! I was surprise to find out the food is actually tastier than I thought.
From starter to dessert, all of them taste fantastic. These don't come easy.
And what worth to mentioned is the Lassi. Vegan one. What a treat!!!
All in all, to me, it's another must visit place in Cardiff for veg*.
Pros: excellent food, friendly staff, nice vibe
Cons: not 100% vegan :p
