Simple menu featuring fried rice, noodles in peanut sauce, iced lemon tea, and a meaty fried mushroom mock meat that's is in most dishes. Vegans ask to leave out egg. Very basic atmosphere and popular with locals. Located near to Surn yi Mei Shi Guan. Reported closed June 2022.

Khmer Portion but tasty

Some foreigners may think that the portions of the food are quite small but the people hier like to eat a small portion and many students who don't have that much money can effort the meal. The food is tasty. If you eat more you could order more. I usually eat a lot so I order the bigger portions and sometimes 2-3 times more.. 🤗 Now you can order the foods via NHAM24 and the foods can be delivered to you place. Especially in the Corona time it is safe for every one and the business can continue running.

Pros: Not expensive and tasty

Cons: No.

Cheap, good value for money

The mushroom noodle soup is really good - and so are the dumplings! Make sure to order the large sized portion if you want it to fill you up for a while. They have free iced tea on tap, which is a big plus! And it's cheap. Locals seem to love this place too 😊

Pros: Cheap, Free iced tea

Cons: The small portions are very small (so order large)

Good food

This is a good little spot near the palace. Easy to confuse with the other veggie restaurant next door! When I went I had the fried rice with mushroom and dumplings. Fried rice with mushrooms was very good, as were the dumplings.

The only bad thing I found was the the portion size really wasn’t that large, even though I asked for a large. So they seemed a little stingy on that front. Though, for the price I shouldn’t really complain!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Cheap, Tasty

Cons: Portions can be a little small

Mostly guests who come to eat at this place are Khmer. The European or other foreigners may go to the restaurant nextdoor. That´s why the portions are big enough for Khmer people. Sometime they could not even finish the (quite big) portion.
They do not eat like foreigners who may eat one portion so big which could be for 2 or 3 Khmer people. The portion in Europe is quite bigger than here.
We like to come here. Mushroom is used as the most important ingredient, according to the name of the restaurant, in Khmer គល់ផ្សិត

Local spot

Ordered the curry noodles and a cold soy milk > taste was pretty good however the noodles were not quite through and tasted a bit doughy (big noodles) and the curry was not properly heated (the inside of a potato piece was cold) and portion was on the smaller end. Will still come back though and order one of their mushroom dishes.

Pros: Cheap, Lots of mushroom

Local place with local prices

Really cheap, basic menu of rice/noodles with a different broth and a few other sides. The curry noodles were very nice, a bit like a massaman curry. Portions are a bit small so order a large if you’re hungry

Amazing curry noodles

Came here every day we stayed in Phnom Penh. No fancy decoration but amazing food and good portion sizes for cheap.

Delicious!

Tried the curry noodles - absolutely amazing. Their mushrooms are gorgeous and featured a lot in the menu. Very good prices too. I chose the large portion which was around $1.75. Regular portions are around $1.50.

Simple, very reasonable, tasty!

Not to be mistaken for the vegetarian place next door on the right (many tourists go there, more options but pricier) this vegetarian restaurant has excellent food at the best prices you'll find in Phnom Penh. Popular with locals and a I can see why! Great value for money. Simple menu with the option to choose your noodle type to go with your dish. 5000 Riel for the mushroom noodle curry and I order a raspberry/lemonade syrup drink for only 1000 Riel to go with it. Definitely recommend for my fellow veggie travelers on a budget. :)

Pros: Quality food at a low price

Cons: Limited options

Cheap Vegan food

Still here in 2019. Vege food doesn't have to be expensive, or fancy, or even even healthy. This place has a huge menu with vegan items and items that can be vegan marked. Only mystery is the ingredients in the bread and burger buns. I didn't ask nor try. For fried rice and a side of Konjac Balls it cost only $3. Note that next door there is what appears to be a another vegetarian restaurant called "vegetarian restaurant" I have no idea if these are two rooms for the same establishment or separate restaurants. I went to the one on the right side.

Pros: Huge menu. Hot pot. Cheap.

Cons: Mystery bread and buns.

okay food

Asked for steamed tofu with tomato sauce, got something without much taste. Good vibe and friendly staff.

Still exists and still pretty cheap.

Adding a review since the last one is a year old. The place is still there and is uber cheap to eat at. Max you would pay is 2.5$.

Food is decent.

Great taste for very little money

Eating here for the first time, we quite liked the limited menu. We got our food within minutes and it was all very good - especially the BBQ and the curry noodles! It's also very cheap (~$1/dish). It's a quite simple local place, so don't expect too much in terms of interior and fanciness, but it has a nice relaxed atmosphere. We recommend a visit!

Pros: Simple menu, very cheap, some very nice dishes

Cons: Interior rather "uninspired"

Mushroom heaven

For the last three years this has been my fav vegetarian place to eat in Phnom Penh. The menu is small and simple and everything is made with mushrooms. The vegetarian BBQ is exquisite.

Pros: Excellent food, Quick service

Cons: Basic setting, Can be crowded and noisy

Simple tasty food.

We may be biast as we had been walking for a while trying to find vego food, however the curry with rice and fried mushrooms were awesome. We also had a lemon ice tea which was yum but very sweet. (forgot to ask for not sugar) minimal English spoken.

Cons: Cheap. 1 - 2$ per meal

Better to be had elsewhere

Very small menu made up of a few basic noodle and rice dishes with 'meaty' mushroom stalk. Even though it's very cheap (your total bill is likely to be between US$1 and $1.50 per person), I wouldn't suggest going out of your way for it. The place next door, Surn Yi Mei Shi Guan, is a little better, if only for the extra variety.

Good to have another veggie place around though, and it's an OK local experience if that's what you're chasing.

Pros: Cheap, Local Experience, OK Location

Cons: Lack of Variety, Really Basic Food

Filled a hole

A small menu, all dishes with fried mushroom which is a scarily meaty mock meat. I had the fried rice which was edible but very greasy. I think the noodles dishes are a better option.
It's clean enough and very cheap - my meal and drink came to a dollar.
I wouldn't rush back but would rather eat there than at a restaurant that cooks meat.

Pros: simple english menu , busy

Cons: little english spoken
