Nice place for a non-meat eater - Edit

My father told me stories about restaurants in Hong Kong selling dishes with names of meat dishes, but made out of Soyabean. I was thrilled to find one in Adelaide. And was impressed by the quality of food. Tasty, authentic and delicious. I would recommend this place to all.

Pros: Good Food, Extensive Menu Card, Ambience

Cons: Business timings

Review - Edit

Have been here many times. The quality of the food varies, sometimes it's great and other times it's terrible. For the sizes you get it is quite expensive. The majority of staff are friendly, but quite often you have to drive there to order a takeaway because they often don't answer the phone.

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Food quality varies, Don't answer the phone a lot of the time, Quite small serves for the price

Good but not amazing - Edit

This place offers a lot of mock-meat choices and a lot of them come in a very heavy sugary sauce however if you choose carefully there are some great fresh things on the menu. I wouldn't say it's my favourite but it's good..

Pros: choice, quick, prices are okay

Cons: location a bit out of the way

Reasonable vego Asian - Edit

How much you would enjoy this place I think is quite dependent on the type of food that you enjoy eating. For me it was ok but really not the sort of thing I enjoy. For thos of you who live in Adelaide it is quite "Gouger St" in terms of the dishes being heavy on sauce and quite often having fillers like onion and potato thrown in because it is cheap.
However, if you are a fan of a place heavy with mock meats do pay this place a visit.

Pros: Mock meat heaven if you like that

Cons: not that healthy

Satay beef - Edit

New to the vegetarian world I am still discovering places to eat out. I took my daughter to this restaurant and we were both blown away. We could not fault one thing and walked out very happy customers. If it weren't for the name of the restaurant I'm sure I could fool people into believing it was real meat ;)

Pros: Large venue, Healthy cuisine, Good value

Perennial favourite - Edit

Love this place - it's one of the few places I can go and know that everything on the menu is fair game. A very wide selection of "mock-style" and Asian vegetarian fare is available. Favourites are the tofu mushroom hot pot, pepper sauce vegetables or "chicken" and sizzling "beef".

Pros: Great Value, Friendly, Great Choice

Best Chinese in Adelaide - Edit

I may be biased as Vegetarian Delight is my favourite Chinese resaturant in Adelaide (maybe ever!) but I think the food here is amazing and can't imagine how anyone couldn't love it. They do a lot of "mock meat" for any ethical veggies who miss the old tastes, and after eating it you can't understand why anyone still kills animals and eats their dead bodies when the cruelty-free alterantives are so delicious! But for the more traditional veggie there's plenty of noodle-style dishes with mixed veg in various sauces. The menu is huge and it's very affordable and the staff are extremely helpful. Not entirely vegan but over 80% of the menu is. Highly reccommended.

Pros: Amazing food, Huge variety on the menu, Very affordable

Cons: Little bit out of the city

delicious food...this is one of the first mock meat restraunts i went to a few years ago....huge menu....alot of it tastes a bit to much like meat- but i guess thats the point....the spare ribs are delicious and the dim sims are awesome....... make sure your clear about honey if your vegan, coz they use it in some menu items marked as vegan....but all in all a delicious restraunt with very cosy atmosphere

Pros: huge menu, the lychee drink!, good service

Cons: honey in vegan food
