CLOSED: Vegetable Restaurant

The place is beautiful inside.

The waiters do not speak much english so we found it difficult to order as we wanted to know what vegetables were in the dishes that we were ordering (many of them stated vegetables, or seasonal vegetables without stating what vegetables).

We had a lovely dinner and really enjoyed our food. The soup noodle dish was huge!

Nice food though not as large a menu as we had come to expect in Chinese veg restaurants. No english but a picture menu though some dishes are hot and some cold and there is no way to know which is which! Dali has so many good places with veggy options that this restuarant isnt quite as essential as it would be in a big city but we enjoyed it. Food is slightly more expensive than elsewhere.

i didn't have time to dine here but i briefly checked the place out. it's upmarket by local standards. there's a picture menu in Chinese only, so you can point out what you'd like if you don't know Chinese. Mock meat and other dishes in the Y20-45 price range. Charming Chinese pavilion atmosphere. The young guy who greeted me spoke basic English. I;ll send photos later... p.s. please note that the vegetarian buddhist cafe advertised on one of the local maps (at Ren min Street) is now the Lotus cafe which serves meat.
