A short/medium walk away from gwangalli beach. I had the black bean cutlet which was very good and a vegan yoghurt as dessert.

Delicious food, nice view - Edit
Great menu with healthy options. The lotus leaf set was amazing. It came with veggies, fruit, fake meat, a soup and dessert - the perfect mix. Everything tasted really fresh. The yogurt that we got for dessert is homemade!

Great food, great cutlet - Edit
Great location overlooking the Gwangan bridge and the sea. We ordered the sampler dish and a few additional dishes, everything was delicious and the portion size was quite generous. In particular the cutlet was very nice.

Great food and great view - Edit
I ate here 3 years ago. It was good then, and the quality hasn't changed at all. This time, it has added soy yoghurt to the menu. This place also run a meditation place in the same building on the 2nd floor. I wouldn't label it as temple food restaurant completely as items such as california roll, and soy meat katsu (kongkatsu) are in the menu.

Incredible!!! Best restaurant in Busan! - Edit
Vege Narang has a large menu of delicious food - soups, salads, sushi, curries, "pork" cutlets. I chose the avocado roll which was fresh and delicious and sampled some of my friends "pork" cutlet which I want to order next time. Great view and friendly, helpful staff. Will be back later this week!

The Truth Is... - Edit
The truth is I cannot remember having a more wonderful dining experience at Vegenarang. The staff was courteous and polite. The Buddhist temple style food was phenomenal (especially the "pork" cutlet and spicy "chicken") and made in a timely fashion. The decor and view are absolutely delightful to enjoy while you eat. I couldn't recommend this establishment more. I highly recommend anyone who is a vegetarian or vegan try Vegenarag, you will keep coming back!

Delicious and elegant - Edit
I walked leisurely from Haeundae Beach and arrived as they opened on a Saturday morning at 11:30. The atmosphere is very peaceful with the music, decor, and wooden utensils earthenware. If I called a day in advanced, I could have had the 35,000 won course meal. Instead, I was delighted with the Cajun salad, avocado roll with grilled mushrooms, and a dandelion detox tea. The sides were two types of enzyme-rich vegetables and a mushroom and seaweed soup. I would love to return again to this 9th floor paradise. No outdoor seating.

Great food, nice city and bay view - Edit
On the 9th floor of "Noble Sky" building (노블스카이). Brightly lit, modern minimalist decor. Large windows offering a great view of the city as well as the port. I wanted to try the spicy soup (얼큰채이장) but unfortunately, it wasn't available the day I went... The lady on staff kindly recommended the spicy fried noodle (볶음쌀국수) which was soooo good!! Would love to visit again next time just to try the spicy soup.... Everything on the menu looks good actually!!

an ALL TIME favourite - Edit
Vegenarang is one of the single best restaurants I’ve ever been to. To find it, head away from Gwanang-li toward Centum and follow the water until there’s an Angel-in-us on your left hand side. The restaurant is on the 9th floor of that building. The food is hot, beautiful, and tasty as hell. The service is fast, and the atmosphere is extraordinary. My favourite menu items are the lotus blossom soup, the black bean chicken, and the deep fried mushrooms. A must go. 20-30 minute walk from Gwangan or like four minutes in a cab. SO WORTH IT.

Good presentation and taste, without use of the 5 spices - Edit
This is a good place for vegetarians who don’t consume the 5 spices, like garlic, leek and onion, as none is used in the dishes. Quite a difficult place to find though.

some of the best food I've ever had - Edit
The food at Vegenarang is not exactly cheap, but everything, from the atmosphere to the presentation to the actual food itself, makes you feel like it's worth its price. I had the excellent vegetable soup with rice and liked it so much I came back one week later to have the exact same dish again. The banchan were tasty as well and I got served different ones the two times I came here. Also this place definitely qualifies as a restaurant where you can bring your entire non-vegan entourage for a high-quality meal at a "proper" restaurant and they won't complain that the food is "just missing something" or that the place looks too alternative and hippie-like.

Excellent taste with a good view - Edit
Yukgaejanag was very similar to the real Korean spicy beef soup which I found delicious. We also ordered the avocado roll and a deep fried shrimp-like appetizer. They came with other Korean style small side dishes. It was a very big portion for the two of us.
Read moreEven though my vegetarian friend loved the ambiance, view, staff and other side dishes' taste, she couldn't fully enjoy her avocado roll. We expected it would have lots of avocado. It had enough avocado but also a big amount of vegan meat (tasted like tuna) in it. She doesn't like meat or fish smells and some of the plant-protein-based meat flavor was too much for her.
For those who like meaty or fishy tastes, this vegan restaurant is a paradise, but if you don't like meaty or fishy smells, it is a good idea to ask them what menu options don't have fake meat. It looked like they still have lots of options with only pure vegetable ingredients.
The best part of our visit here happened when we arrived. When we got there it was just 10 minutes before they closed for their break time. We didn't know that and they let us order for our late lunch. Everyone was very friendly.
Pros: Friendly staff, Great view, Excellent food
Cons: Hard to access
tulips326
Hard to access? You're telling me...I spent almost 4 hours on Wednesday walking all around Millak dong and Gwangali...must have walked over 10 miles...all I have to show for it are 4 blisters on my right foot...had to hobble my way back to Seoul like this...I think I won't bother again. Someone told me to look for the Angelinus coffee shop...I never found the coffee shop and supposedly Vegenarang is around back of this coffee shop...zero signage.
