Yummy - Edit
I’m the non vegetarian in the family but go where I’m told. I (and the non-flesh eaters) all loved it. We got three entrees for 4 people and had plenty. The soul food plate including macaroni and cheese was fantastic. The tater tot appetizer was inhaled more than eaten. We will go back for sure.

Delicious & Well-Priced - Edit
This hole-in-the-wall spot is delicious and away from the crowds of Nashville. The host was so kind and knowledgeable and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Great outdoor seating with covered picnic tables!

Delicious Vegan Soul Food - Edit
This small black-owned business has accommodated amazingly to the COVID-19 virus. Outdoor seating. DELICIOUS authentic soul food and very kind owners who really care about their customers. I 100% recommend this restaurant to vegans and vegetarians (:

All-Time Favorite Vegan Soul Food - Edit
I drive over an hour to get Vege-licious because of the stellar food. Each time I go, I get different menu items and each one does not disappoint. When becoming vegan, I missed eating southern comfort food, and when I discovered this place, it was a godsend. The V-Licious Taters standout with its black pea salsa and homemade cheese. I recently tried the Philly Cheese sandwich and it really reminded me of eating a classic Philly cheesesteak. The “chicken” is also incredible. I also highly recommend trying their Mac and cheese. There is a reason this is voted number one in Nashville! I think vegans and non-vegans will love the classic take on soul cuisine.

I cannot rave enough about how incredibly scrumptious this place is. I had the bbq chick’n sandwich and I probably could have attempted to eat a dozen more. So so yummy!! Highly recommend!

Fantastic Vegan Soul - Edit
Amazing vegan soul food. We got the Soul Plate, Soulchick Plate and the no-BLT Po boy. Fantastic. Bread pudding for dessert was amazing. It was easy to find- they seem to do a brisk take out service and outdoor tables as well as a few indoor spots. They're expanding to add more dining space. Service was super friendly and quick. Will def be back when we are in Nashville again!

OMG! - Edit
We’re visiting Nashville for a conference and were hoping to get to this place. Too tired to go out tonight but had the seitan reuben, tater tots, and the soul food platter delivered through GrubHub. The food was amazing! All of it was every bit as delicious as we thought it would be. We also got vegan cheesecake for dessert bit that’s going to have to wait for breakfast because we’re stuffed!

It was super good, I love that it’s a tiny place to eat, filled with so much love and character. The bbq Chicken was really good and the un-bacon cheese burger was amazing. If I get to go back, I’ll check out their fried chicken.

So Good!!! - Edit
It’s bittersweet that we don’t live next to this restaurant. I’d spend all my money there but I’d love it. We tried a few things and everything was great. The hot fried chicken sandwich and bbq sandwich were favorites. They also have a breakfast sausage that Jimmy Dean himself would enjoy. And the service was fantastic on a Saturday morning.

Food was delicious and the service excellent. We had an order of their tator tots and then the Philly Cheesesteak, a Gyro and a slice of their cheesecakes. All very good. Definitely worth the trip.

Decent vegan soul food - Edit
We were driving through the area and decided to check out vege-licious. It is a very small place with a very small dining area and small tables. Each table sits 3 people. We had two adults and two kids 3 and under in our party. The table we sat at was barely big enough for all of us. The high chair couldn’t even be pushed all the way to the table. So definitely don’t come with a big group, there just isn’t enough room here for a lot of people to sit. The tables are so close you can barely pull your chair out.
Read moreI ordered the hot chk soul plate which comes with battered and fried Nashville hot soy curls, home fries, Mac and cheez, and collard greens. My husband got the Reuben with fries and a side of collards and the ginger beer. They don’t have a kids menu so I got sides of Mac and cheese and home fries for the kids to split. My Nashville hot chik was ok. I think it would be better if the “chicken” was not soy curls. The tiny strips battered just wasn’t that great. There also wasn’t very much of the “chicken”, the plate is mostly sides. The Nashville hot sauce on them was ok, but not spicy. The ranch was really good, and so was the Mac and cheese. My husbands Reuben was delicious. We also all loved the ginger beer which tasted like a ginger lemonade. We did have to ask a few times for plates for the kids which was a bit frustrating. The Reuben and Mac and cheese were the best things we got so I recommend those two items and get the ginger beer! There are other better veg restaurants in Nashville but this place is decent and worth checking out.
Pros: All vegan, Good food , Affordable
Cons: Very small seating area , No kids menu

Okay - Edit
Enjoyed their lasagna; however, it needs a bit of "cheese" on the top. A whole lot of red sauce on the top makes it a little too acidic. But good flavor.

Best vegan soul food! - Edit
We were driving through Tennessee on our way to Asheville and wanted some vegan food. Being that it's New year's they were slammed but you couldn't even tell! I got the hot fried chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got the hot chikn plate. We collectively ate all of our food it was so good. Everyone is super friendly and it was nice to have some outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air. If I'm ever back in Nashville I will definitely visit again :)

Brunch 👎🏻 - Edit
Went for brunch and was very disappointed. The breakfast burrito is tiny & very bland. The coffee (black) is $5 and any refill is $5, which wasn’t told. It’s also in a paper cup which seems rather wasteful. I guess the upside is that the pancakes were alright, but really nothing special....We might go back to try the lunch options, but this was by far very subpar when compared to other options in Nashville.

The hype is fake news. - Edit
$38 for two subpar paper plates of food, a cup of coffee (that went unconsumed) and a bottle of water. I do not understand how this business has gotten a 4.8 (as of now) rating. It is very basic. Paper plates, plastic silverware, overly loud music in a room smaller than your average shed where 5 tables crowd and the seat backs touch. The macaroni and cheese that everyone raves about is completely devoid of any dimension and is essentially a bowl of flour and nutritional yeast. The lasagna was okay, but nowhere near $13 worth- you will get a small square with a boring ball of bread. Don’t even think about ordering a coffee unless you have burned all of your tastebuds off and want destroy your central nervous system. You can buy a better beverage at a freaking Starbucks cheaper than the $5 charged for a small paper cup of their disgusting sludge resembling motor oil. Basic, basic, basic. We walked out disappointed and I myself rather perturbed that the staff even asked if the coffee was too strong (as we had left it untouched) and upon replying “yes”, were still charged: $5. Not a classy joint, my husband said he would have preferred to eat an instant cup of soup, would have been just as satisfying. The only conclusion I can reach for why anyone would enjoy this place is if they haven’t tried many other vegan restaurants.
