We had the soul food platter with Chickn BBQ and collards and Mac n cheez and yams. Also the Chickn bbq sandwich. So much food and so good!

Decent food, but too many mistakes - Edit
Ordered pick up through their site. The food was good. However the experience was not. We had to remind them what we ordered three different times. After they brought out only one part of our order mistakenly, our food finally came out 20 minutes after it was said to.

Vegan southern comfort food at its best! - Edit
Visiting Vegelicious is like walking into a relatives home. The owner is as warm and inviting as the food. Located near Fisk University, this unassuming restaurant was a delightful surprise. My parter and I had the Soul Food Plate and it warmed our soul. She included hot chicken with her plate. The food was well-seasoned and delicious. We wrapped up with a dessert the pineapple cake and bread puddo g that reminded me of my southern grandma. It was awesome. Kudos for creating a winning concept. I hope to see a location in Charlotte some day.

Try the hot chic plate - Edit
Very glad we stopped while visiting my cousin. I had the Soul Chic Hot plate. It was so tasty. Loved the hot chick and collards. Even the French fries were a good balance of crispy and seasoned outsides with a soft center. My partner had the Rueben which had great flavor. The blueberry bread pudding tasted amazing without being too sweet. The chef was very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. Reminds me of the inviting atmosphere of Trio in Minneapolis. Look forward to stopping next time we are in Nashville.

A must visit while in Nashville - Edit
We loved this restaurant. The home cooked food was amazing and we absolutely loved talking to the owner. If you’re in Nashville, this place is worth a visit. Make sure you come hungry and save room for dessert.

Moderate Food and Cranky - Edit
Maybe a bad day, and I don't usually post poor reviews, but this place wasn't the 5 star experience for us. We were excited to try this place out and it was just disappointing.

Worth the trip - Edit
Walked over from the Centennial Park area though there are a few parking spots for the restaurant. You can order to go or to dine in. Food was amazing- I had the Reuben (10 stars!) My son got a burger with fries and the strawberry cake and it was phenomenal as well- super moist and just the right amount of sweetness. Not a crumb left on the plate! The Sorrell was tart and sweet and refreshing!

Amazing! Go! - Edit
We walked over from downtown on our way to Centennial Park. Totally worth the exercise. The food was so, so good. My sister had plain pancakes with sausage and potatoes and I had the pecan pancakes with potatoes and grits with a side of the hot chicken. For such a simple brunch, we were blown away by the flavors. Not sure I’ll ever have pancakes better than those pecan. Delicious. We enjoyed sitting outside at a picnic table on their lawn (inside seating is very limited). I also had the sorrel drinks, which is one of my favorite things. Do not miss this place.

This was such a lucky find! Food was so good, from the texture to the flavor. I was so full when i left. You can tell the food is homemade, and it’s even their own recipes! The bread pudding for dessert was to die for.

Top rated for a reason - Edit
I got the lasagna which my non-vegan mom said it tasted better than the food she had! I also had the chicken sandwich. I don’t know what blessed sorcery they used to make that roll but I ate it first and the chicken later lolol! Don’t get me wrong the chicken was delish too. Someone on IG said don’t be fooled by the weight of the light bag and they were right. My bag was super light but it was not an indication of the amount of food in my bag. I was stuffed and it was sooo good. When I go back to Nashville, they will definitely see me again!
