Comforting vegan food

VegeDelight is a must try while in Toronto! The restaurant is cozy and staff are friendly. We ordered a lunch special, which came with soup and tofu, and a plate of dumplings. The food was so filling, and it tasted like home. Prices are a little higher but the portions are huge.

Pros: Big portions, Cozy atmosphere, Delicious

Cons: Waiters were slow to bring out food, Pricey

Sooooo good

This place is such a hidden gem! Actually share a storefront with Evergreen Thai and have a completely seperate menu. The sweet and sour lion's mane was my fave, recommend getting with rice. Cold noodles were also super legit.

great food and choices

fresh food, not over cooked, its awesome that they don't have much meat imitation dishes, being vegetarian we have no nostalgia. greatly recommend to anyone, probably the best vegetarian good in Toronto. everything is very reasonably priced

Pros: great food and variety, great interior, practically no fake meat substitute

Cons: outside windows needs cleaning

OUTSTANDING

Visited this restaurant with my husband and we were blown away! One of the best meals we had when in Canada 10/10! The restaurant was paired with Evergreen Thai which was a little confusing at first, but ask for the Vege Delight menu and there's tons of options!!

Pros: The food was incredible , Well priced , Loads of options

Cons: Paired with Evergreen Thai - ask for veggie menu

Delicious food & presentation

This is a hidden gem that I was happy to discover on my way from another vegan restaurant. Most of the menu is vegan but it also includes vegetarian, as well as catering to Buddhist traditions. And for mushroom lovers like myself this has everything (morels, chanterelles, oysters, russulas, enoki, shiitake etc).

The menu is so plentiful that I had a difficult time choosing what I was going to get even after already deciding beforehand from the website. Both dishes I tried were visually appealing and incredibly flavourful (to the point that the memory of it kept coming back to me days later).

The restaurant is divided into two different restaurants so the wait staff is perhaps less attentive but that's about the only negative I've found.

From this visit alone it's going to become my new go-to when in Toronto.

Pros: Authentic food, All Vegan/Vegetarian, Affordable

Mushroom soup is a pass

I had the “noodles in wild mushroom soup.” The noodles were good, but the broth was not very flavourful. Would’ve expected more umami for a mushroom soup.

FYI the menu on their website is more handy - it clearly states what is vegan vs. vegetarian whereas their paper menus only have a legend for egg, nuts and spiciness.
