Decent burgers - Edit

A dark kitchen that does only take-away or delivery. Their smashed burger patties are sometimes fried too long and can have crispy, burned parts. Their sauces are pretty nice, and the potato pops are great. Overall, nothing amazing but it's nice to have all-vegan burgers in Valenciennes which is not exactly a vegan-friendly town.

First full vegan offering in Valenciennes - Edit

This is a vegan dark kitchen you could also find in Paris. This is only on take-away or delivery through Uber eats and Deliveroo, but the place is actually in a totally non-vegan fast-food (you must enter in the place called “So drive burger”). The first time I went for my order, the owners told me upfront they had different stoves and ustensils to make the vegan burgers, which I find very nice of them to tell me without asking.

About the burgers: Vegedal offers an alternative to the MacDonald classics: cheeseburger, Big Mac, chicken burger… they do the job, Bacon is La Vie, I didn’t recognize the others ingredients brand.

The sauces make them tasty. Fries are better than Mac Donald’s, potato pops are nice if you like a different things. Mac&Cheese balls are good but they’re too much expensive for the size.

Overall, I’d probably give them a 4 but since the people are nice and the place offer the only vegan burgers of Valenciennes for now…

Edit: with the opening of Meatless burgers Dark kitchen at the same spot, I update my rating because they offer the same foods, the photos are just different. This is dark kitchen in a physical restaurent made in partnership with the Clone startup.

Impression négative - Edit

Nous avions commandé pour 2 adultes et deux enfants. Nos enfants n'ont pas eu leur barquette de frite. Le paquet étant agrafé, nous n'avons pas vérifié sur place la commande.
Les cookies sont emballés dans une pochette plastique avec clairement écrit dessus ; œuf et lait. Nous sommes venus chercher la commande, et le serveur ne nous a absolument pas prévenu. Nous faisions confiance à l' enseigne... Qui se dit Vegan, donc nous avons découvert le soucis à la maison.

Il n'y a pas d'enseigne sur place. Et vraiment cela m'a dérangé de devoir rentrer dans un fast food faisant clairement des burgers non vegan. J'ai découvert le principe des ''dark kitchen'' et je n'adhère pas à cette idée.

Nous n'irons plus. Et nous commanderons en livraison encore moins.
