Vege Zen - maybe closed

Great choice of varied and interesting food. Generous servings, free tea and rice, English menu, very reasonable prices, nice calm atmosphere.

Just got back from dinner here, and it was superb. So delicious. Amazing dishes, with fantastic flavours. The portion sizes are large - be prepared for that. Get the sesame wheat gluten, the broccoli and "meat" dish, the mushroom hot plate and the hot peppers - they were all excellent.
Right next to the temple, which means there are often several robed monks eating in the restaurant with you.

I enjoyed eating here. Especially seitan and fried rice was good. Service was a little uninspired but the ambiance of the restaurant as well as the food seems decent. It's also affordable. Don't be alarmed by the shabby little side street leading up to the restaurant, the restaurant itself is pleasant enough.

I couldn't see any non-vegan menu items but they might use dairy like other Buddhist places, so vegans beware.

This restaurant is located down a small alley way to the right of the temple. There is a large 'vegetarian food' sign that you can see from the road side looking down the alley.

It is very busy at lunch time, we were lucky to get a seat!
The menu has pictures and some english which makes it easy to order as you can just point to what you want.

The food was fresh and hot and delicious! There is a lot to choose from on the menu including various vegetable dishes, gluten and tofu dishes as well as delicious dumplings!

Will definitely return on our next visit to Guangzhou :)

I wasn't able to find this place.

This is the most delicious vege resto I've visited in Guangzhou. Very good taste and reasonable price. Award winner from cuisine mags in GZ.
