A good vegan ramen restaurant - Edit
We ordered the vegan regular ramen. A good portion for lunch and delicious.

Not worth it - Edit
It was edible. But as far as vegan ramen goes it’s the worst I’ve had. The vegetables were clearly microwaved from frozen and had no flavor at all. Some were even still frozen on the inside. :(
Read moreThe broth was ok but overall just very disappointing. Would not go back.

Decent quick ramen - Edit
We ended up here after we discovered Chabuton no longer serves vegan ramen. Everything on the menu was vegan here. It's conveniently situated next to Kyoto station in a food court with a quite trendy atmosphere. I had the curry ramen, my boyfriend had the miso ramen. The portion sizes seemed a little small but were surpringly filling and the taste was fairly average.

Soups on! - Edit
All vegan ramen shop in the Kyoto Tower Sando food hall. Daughter had the curry ramen. Tasty but like other reviews it could’ve had a bolder flavor as it seemed a bit watered down. Took us two attempts to actually be able to eat there. Food court closed at 9. Last orders at 8:30. Rushed across town and got there at 8:15. All other restaurants were open and actively taking orders. This shop had closed early with no notice. Very disappointing as a vegan/vegetarian when there weren’t any other options she could eat nearby. But when she was finally able to try it, it was good and happy to enjoy a bowl of ramen in Kyoto.

Good location, taste could be better - Edit
I had the Miso Ramen for 770 Yen, and while the taste could have been deeper, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of vegetables. The portion size is more on the smaller side, but I wasn't that hungry, so it was alright for me. The restaurant is in the food court and seems to be run by only one person - he was very nice and I didn't have to wait long for my Ramen. It's right in the station, so it was my first stop after I arrived in Kyoto. Very convenient!

Delicious Vegan Ramen - Edit
The vegan ramen was light and the broth had a nutty flavour, perhaps because of the roasted sesame seeds. This was the first time that I came across a vegan dish with so many vegetables (eggplant, lotus stem, mushroom broccoli). Usually vegan food in Japan has an overwhelming amount of Tofu and Soy, which gets repetitive after a while. The menu clearly states that none of dishes use any animal derived ingredients. So this is a 100 percent vegan place.
Read moreThe price had been reduced, and I paid around 750 yen for a hearty bowl of refreshing ramen. The restaurant had only one person handling everything. I believe he was the owner. He was very polite.
Pros: Lots of veggies, Good portion and great taste, Great price
Cons: Plastic spoons are provided

Wrong category - Edit
It is not vegan though sells vegan options. It offers okonomiyaki with eggs. I don't understand why it is put under vegan category. It should be vegetarian. It is misleading! Food seems ok but nothing exceptional. Very limited menu and despite that e.g. they didn't have vegan ramen which is on the menu. It doesn't seem very expensive. 4 stars out of courtesy, I understand that now it is difficult time for small vegans shops in Japan since it practically cut tourism because of corona virus pandemic. So pity.

Not vegan. - Edit
Just left empty handed because they had already stopped serving the vegan options (ramen and curry) by 5pm. Everything has eggs and dairy in it.
Read moreEdit: came back first thing when they opened. Food is pretty good and not too expensive. Guy working is very nice.
I'm not a huge fan of ramen and curry in general which are the options here. But they're good. I'd eat the curry again. I just really don't like ramen, so that's on me.
They do have curry ramen which I didn't have but sounds interesting.
One window you can order vegetarian food, the other vegan.

Very expensive for what it is - Edit
I went there expecting to have ramen but they only have okonomiyaki and yakisoba at the moment. I was not very pleased with those options but decided to try the okonomiyaki lunch menu since it was only 500 yen.
Read moreThe okonomiyaki was the size of my hand and only consisted of some cabbage and konnyaku. Needless to say I had to go and have lunch at another place afterwards.

Great flavourful ramen - Edit
Easy to find. Great for a quick cheap lunch or a snack. Portion was small/medium. Looked plain but broth was clean, flavourful and refreshing. Nice option if you don’t like oily or heavy ramen. Fully vegan place which was great to see in a food court.

It’s good - Edit
I don’t get our reviews of a place can go from “terrible and disappointing” to “the best ramen I’ve ever had”.
Read moreThis place is good, the broth is light and miso ramen has a nice gingery after taste. Is it expensive for the portion? Yes, but considering it’s next to Kyoto Station and fully vegan 950¥ is a decent price

Light ramen - Edit
The reviews are wildly different for this place but it’s fine! The ramens are quite light with lots of fresh veg and a nice clear broth. The man that served us was nice and the food came quickly! It’s slightly expensive but it’s in a hip food canteen, what do you expect?

Disappointing Experience - Edit
I ordered the normal ramen and was disappointed with the taste and portion size. The vegetables were still raw and taste bitter, I could barely finish the whole bowl although the portion is small.

Convenient lunch option - Edit
We had the udon noodle curry for lunch. It tasted ok but was not all that exciting with a lot of noodles/rice and minimal vegetable. The food was quick to come out. I would potentially come here again because of its convenient location and quick service, but would not go out of my way to eat here.

Tasty, reliable vegan food - Edit
A good addition to the accessibility of vegan food in Kyoto, but it’s not perfect. The broth is kinda watery and not as tasty as other vegan ramens I’ve had.

Mediocre - Edit
Not sure why it has such amazing reviews.. The portion sizing is definitely not enough to fill you up and honestly tastes rather bland. Easy to get to and I guess an easy go to option if there’s nothing else vegan around.

Definitely convenient near the station and not bad for more of a ‘fast-food’ style ramen and noodle joint. Also nice to have several options to choose from but the food is nothing to go out of your way for

Tasty but probably wouldn't return - Edit
I ordered the miso ramen which was tasty, but my brother ordered the fried tofu ramen which he did not like, prices were OK however portions a bit small, and we got a side of edamame which was very overpriced. In a food court setting so don't come if you want a quiet sit down meal.

Good, Affordable Ramen! - Edit
Affordably priced ramen that's just the right balance in the taste, not too bland nor too salty. They have 3 Ramen that's suitable for vegetarians who don't consume garlic, onion and leek. Recommend the tofu ramen!

Not that great food - Edit
The food is just ok, if you are in the area and want easy vegan food this is an option, but for us it was not memorable, so don't go especially there. We tried 3 different noodle dishes and none was good, they weren't disgusting either... but we wouldn't go back there. The drinks were kind of bad too, specially the lemon shochu one... was tasteless, and the kiwi one felt kind of artificial. The mango one was ok.
