Great place for noodle - Edit
Part of a chain restaurant. This one is in the basement (food court) of a shopping center. One gets to choose the ingredients and put them in a bag just like going shopping. The broth is also very tasty. Ingredients are packed in plastic bags, so environmentally not the best idea.
Read moreI liked that I got to choose everything I liked, as well as the noodles. The price was okay, about 500 NTD for two bowls, but it depends on the ingredients.

My first time Vege Creek was here, I had take out for dinner. I cannot deny that the amount of plastic wrapped items is wasteful, but I still like the concept of building your own soup (but I think this would also be possible without the plastic).
Read moreIt's also a nice option if you need vegan dinner and are in a rush because a lot of spots close quite early.
I added a little too many ingredients so it was not as cheap as it could have been. But it was tasty, quick and filling.

I didn't eat here. I wanted to, but each item is individually packed which generates a loooot of plastic waste and they are also individually priced, which adds up pretty fast. I would have preferred if it was pay by weight even if items had different price categories and if they were lose so you can pick as much or as little of each thing as you want.

Great lunch spot - Edit
Near the Zhongshan train station so it’s a great spot for a quick lunch if you’re going somewhere. You get a bag and choose your own veg and protein as well as type of noodle and the staff prepare it for you. Very tasty and leaves you feeling healthy and satisfied. There’s sauces and spices at the counter to adjust the food as you please.

Lots of veg! Careful, as you can load up and drive the price up quite a bit. Overall though, really appreciate having this option as eating it all the time while travelling can start to feel a bit unhealthy. Surprisingly good for food court food.

Read moreSame as in the other branch in taipei 101 that i visited, you can put whatever you want in a „shopping bag“ then pay for it and it will be freshly prepared for you.
Of course I couldn’t hold myself back and took maaaaany ingredients, ended up paying 708 T$, what is not really cheap BUT look at my plate, I guess 3 normal people would have been fueled up with that amount of food.
I sinnlos love it. Could go there like twice a week minimum 😂
Pros: The system how you „order“ (you get what you take), no talk needed., food quality
Cons: that they don’t have bigger plates 🤣🤣

Choose your own adventure noodle soup. Ends up feeling a bit like a salad bar, not a coherent dish at the end, but with lots of green options is pleasant enough. I got a combo box and added fresh spinach and broccoli for 203TWD. I added ginger sesame oil and chili condiments for free.

Such a nice fresh meal option. It is in the basement of a mall. You go to the left of the register to the wall of ingredients and choose everything you want in your dish. I chose quite a few things and it still was less than $10usd. The flavor was great combined with a ton of veggies and proteins (the bean curd/tofu) was my favorite. I was worried it was be overly salty but was pleasantly surprised by the subtle broth. Would for sure get again.

Hearty noodle soups - Edit
We ordered delivery and had a pretty good meal: lots went into the noodle soup and the broth was full flavored. Not sure if there is any broth variety in store as we received the same in both bowls, but the various fixings and choice of noodles were delicious.

Plenty of different tofu and veg options to choose from. Deciding how much to put in is tough but they have ready-made box selections for $160. It cost me about £6 for a really huge bowl but I probably overdid it!

So much veg goodness! - Edit
This is my second time visiting Vege Creek. This visit was the Zhongshan branch, and it didn't disappoint! There are SO many options to add to your goodie bag (can totally go overboard), great noodle selection, and a hearty broth. I love the green paste and chilli available. Veg is all fresh, with a good selection of proteins and fake meats. It's just a shame there's so much plastic packaging, but overall, a tasty vegan gem.

Another location of the vegan Taiwanese chain - so many veggies to choose from and lots of types of soya too! My favourite is the Thai lemon soya but the regular flavour is good too 🥰 all is vegan so no worries about contamination!
