Great authentic and 100% vegan Polish meals! - Edit

A great spot for an authentic Polish vegan meal. Delicious food, the sides, śledź and kaszanka, are amazing and taste exactly like the real thing. Very impressed. They also serve free tap water which is a plus. We also had tasty blueberry "cheesecake" for dessert.

Pros: Authentic flavours, Friendly staff, All vegan

Cons: Not much sitting area, A little bit expensive (non-lunch time)

Traditional polish food with authentic flavours - Edit

A great vegan spot that Warsaw needs, serving traditional, delicious Polish food. A little bit pricy, but I think it’s worth it. The selection is very good. We got pierogis, kaszanka and śledź, which were bursting with flavour. They taste like the real thing! You can also get a slice of a tasty vegan cake for dessert.

Sehr leckeres polnisches Essen - Edit

Good food and friendly atmosphere - Edit

Stopped in here on my way to the nearby Chopin Museum. They have a snack + drink deal, but I chose perogies, which came with a small salad (green and red pepper and cucumber, nice dressing) – good perogies filled with nicely spiced beans and lentils, topped with sautéed, chopped onion. I had one of the bottled beers, a Polish craft beer in the North American IPA style, which was very good. The food came quickly. The server spoke English, and there are English translations on the menu. You can place a pin where you come from on the world map. Great little place.

Pros: English spoken and on the menu

Traditional Polish food - Edit

When you are vegan it is mostly very hard to figure out the traditional taste of the local kitchen of the countries you travel, especially when the traditional dishes are very meat-heavy. So the Polish kitchen is, but the Vege Bistro offers you the chance to try the real taste of Poland without a single bite of meat. The regularly changing menu includes nothing else then real Polish food like Pierogies or cutlets. In the weekend you are able to try a traditional broth called Rosol. Don't miss to try the Kompot, a fruity, fresh made beverage.
The owner-run bistro is based in the modern centre of Warsaw between the Nowy Swiat university and the Chopin University. It is a pretty small place, but if you're in Warsaw and are curious about traditional food, don't miss Vege Bistro!

Pros: Traditional food, owner-run, nice atmosphere, frie

Cons: small (but cosy) location

Traditional - Edit

When you go to a new place, one of the most disappointing things as a vegan traveller can be having to miss out on traditional food. However, that's not the case in Warsaw. This place serves delicious vegan versions of traditional Polish cuisine that is not to be missed!

Friendly place with delicious food - Edit

Lovely friendly place serving vegan versions of Polish food. I wasn’t very adventurous (didn’t try the meat jelly!) and just had the pierogi, but they were really good and I wished I had found the place sooner.

Pros: Friendly with good food.

Cons: Small place so could get crowded.

Great food! - Edit

I tried the noodles with mushrooms and it was delicious! It was a bit oily so I was full for 5-6 hours afterwards but it was really tasty! Reasonable price aswell, somewhere around 18-25 for a meal and could get soup etc even cheaper.

So yum ! - Edit

This place killed it on all the levels- food, atmosphere, staff. Got the "Sałatka ze steakiem, serem i lodami malinowymi" It sounds like such a bizarre arrangement of foods, but the mix WORKS, and it was DELICIOUS. On top of that their herbal teas are super yummy, the place is super cool and funky with a map of the world where you can pin where you're from and send them a postcard from where you came from, and the staff is suuuuuper sweet and helpful.

Delicious and fast - Edit

We dropped in at about 20:00 on Saturday (an hour before closing) and were able to eat a lot of very good food here. We especially enjoyed the salad with melted vegan cheese and raspberry ice cream - it was an interesting combination of tastes. Tofurnik (a tofu cheesecake) was simply awesome.

Pros: Prices, Selection of meals, Taste

Cons: Limited number of seatings

Best Place to Try Polish Food if You're Vegan - Edit

Great to be able to try local food as a vegan because often when travelling I find myself eating things like burgers which you can have anywhere. For that reason alone, I think it's worth a visit. Nice place with friendly, helpful staff.

Perfect Polish Pierogi - Edit

If you want traditional Polish pierogi then look no further than Vege Bistro. We ordered a plate of pierogi to share for just PLN 12 and they were absolutely delicious. We also ordered a slice of brownie but sadly it was a little dry in texture, which was a shame. Inside it is a little small, so it can be a little cramped especially when busy but there is outside seating. The staff are very friendly too and I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Pros: Pierogi, Cheap, Friendly staff

Cons: Small

Perfect - Edit

This place was perfect, it's all vegan. I ate millets, soybean cutlet with a mushroom sauce, the dish tasted okay. I also took a vegan raspberry cheesecake as a dessert very delicious. I wanted to eat pierogis but I didn't see any on the menu. English there is no problem and English menu is available. It was very cheap. I highly recommend this place.

Pros: All vegan, Great food, They speak good English

Cons: no pierogis

Simply delicious. Great option is the soup and dish of the day. Very affordable. Menu is not stuffed with soy-products, which at some point I'm fed up.
