good burritos; unpleasant vibe - Edit

needs much refinement. ice cream scooper for burrito ingredients? supermarket tortilla chips doled out in clam shells and sandwich baggies? repellent decor.

amazing - Edit

I could eat here every day. Tasty. Lots of ingredients. Pick your rice, beans, protein. Pile on the veggies. The vegan sour cream and cheese are a must. The guac is delicious! Friendly staff! Same owners as Evolve down the road..check that place out too!

Pros: Soy free options: "bacon"

Cons: Plastic containers

Better suited to some vegans/vegetarians than others? - Edit

I've noticed over time that I definitely have different tastes and approaches to my diet than lots of other people on this site. I'm a fan of fake meat (when it tastes good), and my partner eats meat so I can't eat at vegan restaurants every day. I also like to indulge in American style eating - really this diet is about ethics for me first, and the health benefits were an inadvertent perk.

With that disclaimer, I love Vegaritos. I've tried both the vegan steak and chicken several times, and I definitely think the vegan steak is better. I usually get a burrito bowl, and have to say, it's a huge delicious indulgence for me. I'm salivating just thinking about it! As the other reviewer explained clearly, it's chipotle style, so you pick chicken or steak, white or brown rice, and then your toppings. It all comes out to around $7, even with guacamole, so a pretty good deal. I would say Vegaritos is especially great if you are a hungry vegan that wants to pack in a ton of calories and indulge a bit for a low price. Also, there are seats and the service I've had is always friendly, but obviously this is not a first-date type of place. If you are looking for ambiance or really aren't a fan of the idea of fake-meat-chipotle-style-vegan burritos, there are plenty of other places in the area you might prefer more.

In any event, I'm a big fan and stop in whenever I can!

Pros: Great Food, Great Price

Easy vegan burritos and bowls - Edit

This is a one-item venue: burrito. Order it as a bowl or with a flour tortilla, the bowl is a plastic to go container.

First choose if you want vegan chicken or steak, which are most likely seitan-wheat-based, but ask if you are unsure. Brown rice, for the bowl. After that, decide if you want red beans, black beans, or ask for a mix. Then, it gets fun. Pick any or all of the remaining toppings to place into your burrito or bowl. Daiya cheddar, guacamole, bell peppers, jalapeños, tomatoes, pico de gallo, salsa, red onions, corn, black olives and a couple others.

The toppings pile up quickly, and before you know it, you have a huge bowl/ burrito for just about $7. They have chips in a plastic container, which is probably the same brand as the tortillas - decent, but not the best quality possible. They have some bottled beverages to choose from, but nothing too exciting.

The place has a good number of tables, so you can stay and eat. However, the place has just opened, and it doesn't quite have a good vibe yet. It's in the beginning stages. It has reliably vegan food, though, and good price/ portion ratio. Good effort for vegan fast food.

Pros: All vegan, Easy and cheap, Unlimited toppings

Cons: Simple, Not organic
