CLOSED: Veganz - Leipzig

Nice, medium-sized supermarket that unlike most other German 'bio' stores truly focuses on vegan stuff. Friendly, bright atmosphere, very nice staff. Spreads, "milks", lemonades, nuts, stickers (!) and everything else. Close to central train station and inner city. Good café "Goodies" in front part / street front of building. Good vibes, lots of vegan stuff.

My husband and I went to Leipzig for the day(it's only 1 1/2hrs from Dresden), so we took our grocery bag with us to stock up on our way to the train station. It's really so close! The selection was almost everything that was in the Berlin locations, although I was a bit sad that there was no Field Roast or Tofurky sausages/slices in the fridge section, although they did have the field roast en route roast, which is amazing(we bought it before to do a Canadian thanksgiving dinner). I did try some of the Fry's burgers and they were pretty good! I like how they have the Goodies here, it seemed more like a little cafe resto than an afterthought to the supermarket. We didn't eat at the Goodies, but I'm going to remember that it's so close to the station the next time we have a bit time in between connections. Still awaiting the day that Veganz comes to Dresden.

Nearby the main station with a huge assortment and a place to eat. Great green almond latte.

It is so nice to go into a supermarket and be able to buy anything, without even having to glance at the label. They had a huge selection of cheeses i had not been able to find elsewhere. I also got some candy and sausages. They sell some nice shirts and patches as well. The cafe was great, too. My omni brother and i had some tasty sandwiches.

i've visited it every morning of my stay in leipzig :) the super is amazing. great vegan egg-salat sandwich, great cakes, great healthy smoothies, great ice cream!
