Consistently bad experiences here, wanted to love this place - Edit
It's super awesome to have a new vegan place just 15 minutes from my house. I was so excited when they opened! Unfortunately, I've had too many bad experiences here to count. I gave them a lot of chances because I really want to support vegan businesses, but I don't come here anymore.
Read moreLet's start with the good - I really enjoy their breakfast. French toast, cheesy omelets, breakfast potatoes? Absolutely. If you're vegan you know how hard it can be to find any breakfast options while eating out, let alone decent ones. My omni friends and family are big fans of the French toast. Their crispy chicken sandwich and cornbread are also fantastic. Their cakes, cupcakes, and cookies I've had have been pretty good.
Unfortunately the good pretty much stops there. The menu here is 90% substitutes and, as another reviewer mentioned, they don't make any of these in-house. It's all stuff you can buy in the frozen section, sold for an extreme mark-up. I used to still occasionally drop in for their chicken sandwich, but now I just buy the $6 bag of Gardein patties and make one at home for 1/8 the price of one sandwich here.
I always called ahead because it takes at least 30 minutes for them to make anything, even a single sandwich. Their food is often extremely greasy - like swimming in tablespoons of oil - or cooked inconsistently. I've ordered the breakfast potatoes several times and every time they've been differently flavored and cooked.
More than once I've called ahead to place an order and they called back 20 mins later telling me they were out of what I'd asked for. They've canceled half of my Doordash orders twice without notifying me because they were out of something. My orders have been wrong or missing items several times on pickup.
Staff is often rude on the phone or short with me in person. I once had a younger employee yell at me and other customers who were waiting for orders. They don't seem to train their staff in or out of the kitchen well and I've noticed that the friendlier employees don't stick around very long.
I really, really hope this place gets some better management because they can so easily improve. I don't want to see them fail like many other businesses on Landis avenue have.

1st time here. Indoor seating available. Easily found street parking. Variety of items in the menu. One popular item that I wanted to order (and so did three people that came in after me) was the Drumettes. They were out of stock but next time I am in the area, I will try them. I did start with their Mango Ginger Kale Smoothie. It was good - nothing special. Grilled Chz BLT was a nice portion size and tasty. Crispy Buffalo Chick’n Sandwich was a good portion size, messy, and tasty. I’m the spicier side. Sweet potato fries were crispy. Bratwurst Banger was smaller than I expected. Nothing special there. I ordered fries with that - again nothing special. Food was good. Good portion size. I would also say it was a little in the expensive side ($1-$2 per item).

Happy to find a fully vegan establishment on the way back to PA from Wildwood, NJ. We chose some decadent burgers, fries and cake. Everything was great and the server was very friendly. Would definitely visit again!

This is a pretty large place; seating in the front is OK but way too close together in the back. They had a stage in the back so I assume they have other events which might be worth looking in to.
Read moreWhen I arrived there were 2 people sitting to eat and 1 waiting for a take out order… that’s it. I ordered 2 items for take out and it was nearly 45 minutes later I received my food. They did have 3 people come in to pick up orders but this was not a busy typical time of day and the place was not at all packed. That long of a wait is absurd. It is appropriate to let someone know they would be waiting about that long to receive their food so they can decide to either take a walk around town while waiting or decide to come back another time or to call an order ahead on a different day.
They have quite a lot of items to choose from but seem to be out of some of them. Seems better to have a smaller menu, or seasonal menu, to allow enough stock for what is offered. I advise you to not get your heart set on something prior to ordering but to have a second or third option prior to ordering in the case they are out of your first choice.
The food was mostly tasty. The shrimp was really good, the fish was so-so but it was way oily so I wouldn’t order it again, the crab cake was inedible because it was so salty. My lip started swelling a bit from the salt. Their chicken sandwich is good. The fries….. nah; you can skip them. The seafood sauce container I received for the shrimp has “natural flavorings” as one of the ingredients. Might be something I wouldn’t mind eating, but those words together on an ingredient list never sit well with me. I could not find information on the company’s (Four In One) website and I did not call them to ask what all they consider “natural” in their “flavorings”. Just an FYI. I ate the shrimp without the sauce and it was tasty without it.
The prices are absurd…. I am happy to support a vegetarian or vegan restaurant but, even if I had no other complaints, I would not eat here more than once a month; the prices trump the city, even. Hip City and Luhv are even less pricy and I thought they were high.
The bathroom was clean as was the restaurant. Parking is very easy right out front.

Vegan Fried Shrimp!! - Edit
We made a special trip to Vineland to try Vegans Are Us since we liked the Atlantic City location so much and were not disappointed. People often ask if I miss cheese the most as a vegan, but for me it's the seafood. I loved the seafood options here. We split the seafood sampler and fried shrimp po boy sandwich. They were both excellent. My kids enjoyed the fried shrimp and drumettes. We all loved the fries. Unfortunately, they were out of ice cream the night we came. I look forward to trying a milk shake next time.

We have BBQ jackfruit sandwich and mushroom cheesesteak. So good. The collards may have been the best we’ve had. I highly recommended the apple cider ginger tea. Delicious. Nice seating in the back.

I would not eat here again. 3 times and 3 bad experiences. My meal was very dry and everything was over cooked. There was no sauce on my sandwich and the dessert was hard as a rock.

The Vegan Cheesesteak was so delicious... I wasn't ready lol. It was so big too and I only got half a sandwich 😳. Best vegan protein alternatives I've experienced thus far. The Chickpea Mac and cheese is delicious and the wings omg, the texture feels like real chicken. I don't know how they do it. Would recommend this place 1000/10. Also the Mango Ginger Kale smoothie is AMAZING✨

I had the chicken and waffles which was very good. The chicken was an exceptional quality and flavor in large drumstick formation. The waffles are sweet with a quality maple-like syrup. It was very filling food. Ordered a side of home fries which included tidbits of pepper and onion. Home fries were a bit salty for my taste to put it lightly, but we'll cooked and fried. It was good food but I would recommend to tone down the salt on their preparations.

Catered my wedding! - Edit
Vegans Are Us recently catered my small wedding. So much food! So reasonable and so good! We had friend chicken, chicken drummettes (my absolute favorite), amazing collard greens, mac and cheese and more. They were so helpful and the food was above and beyond.

I have tried vegan wings all over the country and these are by far the best one's I've had. So tasty, good texture, and the wooden "bones" were a nice touch. The Shrimp Po Boy was also really good - I haven't had anything close since I stopped eating animals, and maybe it's just been a while, but I don't know if I'd be able to tell the difference. I'll definitely be back for more!

This place is definitely not for people trying to eat healthier, but the food is sooo good. Their bacon cheeseburger is probably the best thing on the menu, everyone I let try it says it’s the best they’ve had. Prices are fairly cheap compared to other places I’ve been. Best vegan comfort food in the area!!

I'm giving 2 stars because it's forcing me to. Which is unfair if you ask for an opinion you should be able to give it. It had all the right looks, clean restaurant nice aroma, friendly faces, but none of the follow through when it came down to the food. I tried three items tonight and all three met with disappointment. My 13yr old said, "mom aren't those the same chicken nuggets you have in the freezer?" They were. And I paid for a plate of 5 or 6 and fries for what I could buy a bag at Shop Rite for. I didn't expect to be ordering freezer retail chicken tenders. The Drumettes were soft and gummy just covered in sauce. They could have been grilled and firmed up. And worst of all, the philly V cheesesteak was greasy despite the decent flavor! My stomach has been upset since it is not used to eating greasy food. I was hoping for a new place to add, but sadly this was a one and done.

I wish this place was good I really do. I gave it another shot, but I’m done. I’m sure it’s about to go out of biz soon too. Nothing is fresh— nearly all frozen, frozen buns, mostly fried foods, and green beans are canned. Everything is served in takeout containers. Service is terrible— extremely slow. Menu is not clear, and most of the servers can’t answer questions.
