We couldn't look past the amazing starter menu. We shared 4 starters between two, all of which were incredible. Special shout out for the deep fried artichokes. Tiramisu for pudding. Super friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

So great to see a fully vegan restaurant. This is a place I've driven past many times but just found time to visit. Lots of familiar favourites: pizza, burgers, kebabs and pasta. I opted for a chicken burger. It was nice... but was actually chicken strips in a bun rather than an actual burger. Food is not groundbreaking but gets a 5 for comfort rating.

Really happy we got to try this restaurant while we were in town. Lots of choice on the menu and very friendly staff and cool atmosphere. Enjoyed sharing different plates, especially the dessert.

Stopped in for a snack and ended up buying one of their tasty sounding burgers to take on the train home. Looks like the menu has some unusual but great ideas on it. Hopefully I can go for dinner one day

I always look for the vegano van if I ever visit the quayside on a Sunday! The kebab wrap is so flavoursome. I’m a picky eater and the staff member who served me (didn’t get his name) was so lovely and helpful with my perhaps slightly stupid questions. Read moreFamous for its kebabs I decided that’s what I’d get, opting for a mixed kebab. I’m glad I did. The food was incredible, full of fresh ingredients, well balanced flavours, and sizeable portions. I upgraded my fries to the sweet chilli fries which had an amazing hoi sin dressing with chilli and sesame seeds.
I’ve been here before about three years ago but forgot to leave a review. It’s such an impressive place to eat and the food is top notch I felt it necessary to shout about it.
I would definitely recommend.

The food is amazing, we had the kebab which comes with fries and coleslaw which was delicious and very filling. friendly staff, helped me in with my wheelchair. This place is a must if you’re in this area. Will definitely be back.

We visited in July 2025. We needed to change the time of the reservation which was accommodated and arrived about an hour before closing - it was on a Saturday night so expected it to be quite busy but it was surprisingly empty. No idea why as it was brilliant! The service was very friendly and the food arrived super quickly. All of it was brilliant - and they even did gluten free pasta. The portions are big and we ended up taking some home. Pizza's were delicious and the bischoff cheesecake was also a highlight. Really good value for money. It's not the healthiest menu - and does revolve around more processed items but really lovely and would defo return.

A blackboard above the counter proudly announces Vegano has "the best vegan kebab in Britain". I've no real reference point but it is great, jam packed and full of flavour. No graceful way to eat it but that doesn't matter.

A fantastic vegan restaurant with very friendly staff. It's also just a short walk from central station. We visit whenever we can and the food is consistently excellent on each occasion. The carbonara, fried ravioli, burgers, doner kebab and chili dogs are all personal favourites of ours and you certainly won't be disappointed with either the taste or portion sizes. Great desserts too.

Read decent reviews about Vegano so decided to pay them a visit after my team played at St James’ Park today. Boy it didn’t disappoint that’s for sure. I had the deep fried ravioli, the ultimate cheeze burger, and tiramisu. It was outstanding and very happy to recommend this cracker of a vegan gem. Really friendly service too. Thank you !!

Vegano is easily my favourite restaurant in Newcastle. My family and I come here for every occasion and we all absolutely adore it (meat-eaters included). Everything on the menu is delicious including the cocktails the staff are so welcoming. I also love the fact that the owners care for their own rescue animals. It makes supporting this business ever better. I couldn’t praise this place enough. Ps. Try the truffle pizza!

Gorgeous Food, Fabulous Atmosphere!! - Edit
I’ve been here many times as it’s my favourite vegan place in Newcastle. The owners are a lovely couple who also run an animal sanctuary. The food is American style pizza, pasta, burgers with excellent side dishes and puddings. They also sell cocktails as well as bottled beers and spirits. Don’t miss out!
