So happy that you can try nata in a vegan version. The lady working there is super friendly, she even went to a different store to get us a candle for my birthday. 🙏🏼

We tried a couple of vegan pastel de nata in Lisbon but these were way superior than any of those. The dough is crispy and the filling has the perfect texture (others were a bit rubber-like). We also had something we never knew existed: iced coffee with lemon and cinnamon. It was delicious. The lady who served us was lovely and spoke English very well.

Better than the real thing - Edit
I loved Pasteis de Natas / de Belém before I was vegan and since missed them on every trip to Portugal, or didn't find ones I liked. But Vegannata delivers the real taste, warm and crispy, couldn't be better. You have to try it!

Amazing - Edit
I was in such expectation to try it, and it totally worth it. The natas as very creamy, soft and crunch at the same time, and even better than the non-vegan version. The place is in a very nice location, with many attractions around it. The store "A Carioca" is tiny but cute and kept its traditional decoration, which is very nice. The staff is nice too. There are two tables on the sidewalks if you want to sit there and enjoy the Lisbon life happening. Love it and will absolutely come back! - I recommend putting some cinnamon on your natas 😍

Amazing Vegan Nata - Don't Miss It! - Edit
Coming to Lisbon, I knew it wasn't a matter of "if" I could find vegan pasteis de nata, but rather "where" these would be hiding. Fortunately, VeganNata comes to the rescue and I am beyond happy that I could try this Portuguese delicacy.
Read moreOn my first visit, I ordered one to enjoy while sitting outside and people watching. The crispy, flaky exterior of the tart combined with the gooey, custard filling was absolutely delicious and satisfying. Best way I can describe a nata would be a cross between a Cantonese egg tart with a creme brule.
I managed to buy a few to take home with me and all my loved ones enjoyed these tarts. They couldn't even 'tell' that they were vegan until I showed them the box itself.
For my non-dairy friends, this is THE spot for a vegan nata and you will not be disappointed. I only wish I had more space to purchase more in my luggage.
These last for three days but I'm sure they're still good even beyond that date. Just be sure to freeze or refrigerate them once you're back home.
Pros: Wonderful vegan nata
