CLOSED: Veganized

I've had 2 lunches from Veganized, both, incredibly yummy, and both Asian inspired. The first time I ordered, I was unable to make the 30 minute pick-up window of time, so they offered to meet me downtown Asheville where I was at a meeting and where they were delivering lunch orders. My entree was well-packed, still steaming hot, with an avocado nicely sliced and packed separately so as to not get mushy! I picked up my second lunch, Pad Thai, at the store-front and found it conveniently located just off I-26, Exit 23. I'm not vegetarian, but I love the creative use of spices and sauces to flavor up grains and vegetables, and Veganized did NOT disappoint! Plenty of food for the $10 price point.

I am trying to live a whole-foods, plant-based lifestyle. It is so nice to find a place where I can get a quick lunch without having to cook or wait. Veganized is carryout or delivery only and they only offer one dish per day. That way they can keep costs down and concentrate on doing one meal and doing it well. My favorite so far is the BBQ with mashed potatoes and very moist cornbread (which I love).

One thing that is unique about Veganized is that you order online the night before (or early morning of) the day you want a meal. Again, this insures food is freshly prepared without waste. I have not tried their delivery service but the pickup service has been good.

Veganized makes some truly awesome dishes, the owner is friendly and accommodating, and they deliver (to locations within their delivery zone). I have tried several of their dishes and have never been disappointed. The biscuit meals are great, the spinach spread grilled cheese is so delicious, and their chicken philly cheesesteak is better than any cheesesteak I've tried in Philly!
