We both had a very good Vöner. The bread was crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. It was a huge and filling meal. Unfortunately we couldn't try the lovely cakes. Staff is very friendly. We would def come back :)

We were very happy with our food at Vegangster - delicious crispy fresh fries, wonderfully composed burgers and really nice cakes (would’ve wanted to try all of them)!

Veganer Currywurstdöner? Klingt pervers, ist super geil. Die Seitanwurst hat richtig Biss, eine tolle Textur und schmeckt klasse. Mein Döner ist durchgeweicht, aber das war mir egal.

Die Auswahl an Kuchen lässt keine Wünsche übrig, die Entscheidung fällt schwer. Matcha Weiße Schokolade kann ich weiterempfehlen.

Die Currywurst ist super gut, die Potato-Fritters waren knusprig und obwohl der Laden gut gefüllt war kamen wir richtig schnell an die Reihe. Wenn wir mal wieder in Rostock sind kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder. :)

This is my go to food spot when I am craving vegan fast food (especially döner). The döner tastes incredible and all the ingredients are so fresh, way better than your average döner. The food is pretty affordable, 10€ for a Döner drink. Only negativ point are the seating options (only 12 people max fit). #Veganuary

Convenient location, interesting menu (with soy, seitan, and jackfruit), nice service, food is affordable, ready quickly and tastes delicious. Plenty of pro-vegan, anti-animal-cruelty stickers on the walls — always a good sign. Too bad there’s no restrooms.

On our way back to Denmark we made a quick stop for take-away at Vegangster.
Read moreWe had the Vegangster burger, the vürum and the fries with ketchup and chili mayo. As an extra treat we went for an oreo-strawberry cake.
It was all so so delicious. I especially loved the fries. They were perfect in size and as a special twist they curved a bit, which made the sides of the fries crunchy and the middle soft. Perfect.
We waited to eat the burger and the vürum on the ferry so the food unfortunately got cold, but I imagine it was very delicious hot.
The cake was soft, sweet and I really liked the combination of heavy cream and cookies with the sweet and fresh strawberries.
If we visit Rostock again we will definitely come back to eat at this place.

Vegan fast food joint in what seems to be the current gentrification front of the city. They offer burgers, a wrap, döner plate, hot dog etc.
Read moreBurger was good, the fries were too much like chips (vero thin) to my taste, but yymv. The mayo/sour cream on the hot dog was kind of disgusting.
The waiting times were really too long for the type of food (fries were prepackaged and deep-frozen, for example).

I ate the gyrosteller; soo delicious! I brought my non-vegan friends here and they ate a seitan cheeseburger, which they found delicious too! We decided to eat here on our way to Berlin. ¹Very nice staff, after eating i asked if they had any stickers to put on put suitcases 😊

Wir haben hier zu fünft Vöner, Vürüm, Currywurstteller und Süßkartoffelpommes probiert. Alles war so lecker, die Portionen waren für den großen Hunger super und alle waren begeistert. Außerdem noch eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre und nettes Personal. Kuchen haben wir noch mitgenommen und dann später genossen. Wenn wir mal wieder in Rostock sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

Great Vöner for very friendly price, good atmo - Edit
After two days of cycling and not eating warm food I got to Vegangster and couldn’t have done better I believe! Ordered the voner and because of the low price I expected it’s gonna be very small so ordered fries too. To my surprise the food was huge! The vöner was delicious, loaded with nice fresh veg and very tasty sauces. Fries were home made slices of fried potatoes, super tasty too! All together with a beer for nice €14!
