Closed when I arrived - Edit
I was very disappointed to see that it was closed after I went there even though it was written open here on HappyCow. They should check their opening hours to avoid this.

Nice Vegan Restaurant - Edit
Veganeria is a nice, proper vegan restaurant in the middle of Budapest downtown, which was missing for quite a long time.
Read moreThey have a proper and nice menu with a nice list of chioces for a fair price.
Cream soups, main dishes, vegan pizza, and even food delivery options are now available.
Worth to visit!

Nice - Edit
Had a coated seitan here. The baked potato with tomato sauce was truly amazing, but the seitan itself wasn’t my favourite. Their lemonade is divine though:)

Great service, better food - Edit
I’d definitely recommend visiting for a meal here if you’re in Budapest. There’s such a range of options on the menu I’m sure everyone could find something they’d love, vegan or not. My pizza was delicious and was made even better by the lovely man who served us.

Bland food - Edit
The food was ok, I had the garlic and spinach pasta which was nice at first but got so bland I couldn’t finish it. My boyfriend had a pizza which was also a bit bland. We shared the sweet cannelloni for dessert which was supposed to come with ice cream but didn’t and it had clearly been blasted in the microwave as it was piping hot. We didn’t even eat the dessert as it was soggy and tasteless. The music was not what you expect to hear in a restaurant when you’re trying to have a relaxing meal (they played My Neck, My Back) and definitely not suitable for children! There are so many other good vegan restaurants in Budapest, I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Cons: Bland food, Microwaved desserts, Strange choice of music for a restaurant

Spoilt for choice - Edit
Often the number of vegan options in a restaurant is limited... I have never seen such an array of appetisingly described Italian dishes before!! I had such difficulty deciding what to eat, and when I did decide, despite how delicious my pizza was, I still had food envy from everyone else in the restaurant 😅 maybe I am just greedy, but the food was fantastic

Unpredictably amazing - Edit
Thank you for working at Sunday, you have saved us! This place looks like usual sport bar and food seems simple but it is totally vegan! I like so much price - quality ratio here. Dishes are warmy and hearty. Veganeria helped my non-vegan boyfriend adoring seitan😄meals are really comfort and harmonic. Vegan cheese is especially wonderful. I hope we will taste famous pizzas next time

Cute and cosy place. Though I was not overly impressed with the pizza, was a bit dryish.

It was ok - Edit
So we had the gyros pizza and the lasagna as well as the arugula salad. The salad was pretty basic, pizza had no gyros we we were wondering if it was maybe just gyros spices on top? It was pretty normal pizza, nothing to exciting but not bad either. BUT, the lasagna was probably the “cheesiest” thing my partner and i had ever eaten as vegans. Wow that was so intense. If you are craving something cheesy and don’t want to eat dairy, this is it. Great dish!

Tasteless food - Edit
I ordered delivery so cannot comment on the interior. I got the Italian soup, tomato and ruccola salad and Tagliatelle.
Read moreThe soup was okay-very simple, but tasty.
The salad had no dressing - it was literally just box of ruccola with some cherry tomatoes. That's it.
The tagliatelle was my biggest disappointment - it was overcooked, little to no sauce and seasoning. I added some salt and pepper at home, but that didn't really change it much.
I still ate it, cos I'm not super picky with food, but would never eat there again.
Too bad, it looked promising. Maybe the pizzas are better?

Amazing - Edit
Cosy interior, large menu. I ordered four cheese pizza which I haven’t yet had as a vegan. Highly recommend, seems to be the real stone oven pizza. Also caesar salad was nice and light and didn’t even need a meat substitute.

Fast Food - Edit
I'm really surprised how much accolade this place gets here. For us it was really the first not so pleasant experience with a vegan place (to be fair, the rest was just really good).
Read moreThe good side: the place is nice and the staff was also nice.
The bad side: our food was just bland and greasy. Pizza was fine in fast food terms, but the deep fried sesame tofu with fried potatoes left a lot to desire even in that category.
We opted against anything else because of that experience. Maybe the desserts are better.
Pros: Nice interior, Friendly staff
Cons: Bland and greasy fast food, Plastic drinking straws are just not cool anymore

Nicely decorated entirely vegan place with good service - Edit
The waiter was very nice and polite and I liked the decoration a lot. This restaurant is halfway between celebratory elegant and casual, both in terms of style and prices. Everything was tasty, but I prefer the seitan and pizza in other vegan places.
