Best vegan south east asian food! - Edit
Full vegan asian street food ! One of the best restaurants in Amsterdam. Nice concept, delicious food, friendly staff, great location!
Read moreKorean fried cauliflower ,spring rolls, Wonton , Shangai fry, buns, kimchi (kroketjes) are my favourite. The drinks are served so quick and the prices are very fair. Good to make a reservation especially for weekends. Must-try vegan restaurant!

Incredibly flavorful - Edit
Veganees is a nicely decorated, colorful shared dining restaurant. The menu is fully vegan and features a great variety of Asian (mostly Japanese, Chinese or Korean-style) dishes. We loved everything we tried! What struck out to me most was the intensity of the flavours. The drinks we had were lovely as well.
Read moreService was very friendly. The price range of this place is consistent with more upscale vegan dining options of the general area (rather high).
Attention: The bathroom is in an upstairs area, which could be challenging if you have some mobility issues. Then again, the same can be said about half of this city.

Delicious - Edit
Really enjoyed the food here. The variety was great. A lot of different asain inspired dishes, all executed well. The spices were perfect.
Read moreWontons were awesome but more like a dumpling 😅.
The recommendation was 3 dishes per person, and it's all meant to be shared. The larger your party, the less you can probably order per person.
Pros: Variety , Spices
Cons: Close tables

Delicious and fun - Edit
The food was so tasty and we had a lot of fun sharing everything. Two of us were starving after a day of travel, and we ordered a bit too much, but we didnt regret a single bite. We had soup plus two buns, three other dishes, and mochi for dessert. The servers were all friendly and spoke english. Highly recommend this place.

This has to be one of the best vegan restaurants I have ever visited. They got everything right. The service, atmosphere and most importantly the food! The cauliflower wings were incredible.

Needs more direction - Edit
I like the concept, overall (went twice), but wished for more flavour and reasoning behind dishes. I wouldn't go again because the tables are too close to one another and if there's one thing I never want to pay for is someone 30cm next to me gossiping about their life while I can't focus on my own conversation.

OK! - Edit
Veganees was alright, but I wouldn't come again. The seating arrangements in the restaurant is poor, as we were seated right next to someone else, so felt a little claustrophobic. Food and drinks came pretty fast, but was lacking flavour wise. We liked the potatoes, the nigiri and the katsu tempeh, but the other dishes were a little meh. Service was good though.

Meh - Edit
Went a couple of times but left a little dissapointed everytime. The dishes are poorly executed. Flavours are nice but textures are off. I wouldn’t say I actively disliked it, but I am not coming back here and would not recommend it to other people. You can get better, cheaper and more authentic food at plenty other spots in the city.

Geweldig vegan streetfood - Edit
Wij hadden met 3 personen gekozen voor ‘the streetfood basket to share’ en dit was een geweldige keus. Het eten was heerlijk en erg smaakvol. Grote porties, we konden het bijna niet op met z’n 3en. En mooi opgediend.

Amazing food - Edit
I was at Veganees with 4 friends for dinner, and we all agreed that the food was amazing! We had different dishes, and I ate the Korean fried cauliflower, Tempeh Katsu and Mapo Tofu dishes. And not only where they all great, but we had value for money. We where almost not able to eat it all.
Read moreOnly minor downside in my opinion, is that the light in the room is a bit too dark. So it can be a bit difficult to see what you eat. But not too big a problem for me.
The staff is nice too, and I like the decor.
So my final verdict: A huge recommendation, especially if you like a variety of southeast asian dishes, that can convince a meat eater too.
Pros: Value for money, Great southeast asian food

We loved everything - Edit
We ended up trying a lot of the dishes between us four. We loved them all. Favourites stir fry noodles, rendang loaded chips and the pancakes. We also really enjoyed the hisbiscus lemonade. The atmosphere is great, stylish decor and staff is great. They even handled a challenging customer with impressive calm and assertiveness.

Expensive but worth it!!!!! - Edit
This place is slightly expensive but basically everywhere in Amsterdam seems to be. This place’s quantity and quality makes up for it! Big portions.
Read moreWe got the soup (comes with two bowls), a bao bun, a jackfruit renlang dish (so flavourful!!) and an extra side of rice (definitely not needed, we realise that now). Loved it. Great flavours and taste. Came to about 40€
