The menu was exciting, so many options of different Asian flavors to explore! We got a gado gado bowl (came with rice) and two bao buns (curry mushrooms and crunchy tempeh). Everything was thoughtfully prepared and satisfying.

This place has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It’s a great spot for an evening out, because they have shareable dishes and an extensive alcoholic beverages menu (although their cocktail menu is only available in the evening).

So happy to have come here! I found Amsterdam a bit uninspiring when it came to food options… I had been to vegan junk food before and it wasn’t anything spectacular, but seeing as this time I wanted to go to a vegan restaurant that I would enjoy, I believe I found one!
Read moreA bit off the beaten track (although Ams is small, so like not actually that far away), I found this place super amazing! The food was incredible and the staff were so nice! If I come back to Amsterdam I will definitely be back!!
One negative-ish thing to note is that the cheesecake is really small for the price, but because I had eaten so much it was a good size for me!

Not a good place to go alone, because lot of the dishes are meant for sharing. I got two of the smaller options: dandan noodles, that I loved, and Indian curry bao, that I didn't like at all. But I'm not a big fan of Indian flavours. Also tried mochi for the first time and liked it. The place is pretty busy (at least in the evening), so good idea to book a table. Luckily I fit in without a booking :D

Even though we arrived half an hour before closing time, the staff treated us well. The two waitresses were friendly and welcoming.
Read moreWe got the Peking Pancakes, which we liked a lot. We had not seen a vegan rendition of this dish until we visisted this place. It was well executed and we finally got to eat this dish again.
We also had two sides and an appetizer. All of the dishes came out quickly and the waitresses were very attentive to our needs. All the food was very good, but I needed to point out the Peking Pancakes, which you cannot find anywhere else.
We had a great time there and would recommend it to anyone interested in asian cuisine.

My sister and I were looking for a nice spot to eat after a musical. Veganees is only a 15 minute walk from Carré, so it felt only natural to try it out! The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived (6:05 PM), but it was packed when we left (8:30 PM). This didn’t impact the service much; the food arrived swiftly and the staff were able to assist us every time. We’d been looking over the menu in the train, but it ended up being a bit different than the food menu they had in the restaurant itself. All the options still looked amazing though. We knew it was a shared dining concept but we both prefer to have our own meal so my sister went for the udon noodle stir-fry and I chose the peking pancakes. She went for a side of kimchi mandu whilst I ate some kimchi and bowl of rice on the side. Each item is quite expensive, but I’d say the portion sizes are very reasonable. It seems that they carry 3 dessert options at a time (espresso martini excluded), and I tried 3 different mochi flavours. My sister enjoyed her mango cheesecake as well. We will be back!
