Great burgers !

I needed something quick and easy for dinner and their Cheesy B cheeseburger was a good choice - a delicious burger. Unfortunately the serve of chips was ridiculously salty which ruined them and I had to throw most of them away (lose a star). However, the chocolate mudcake partly made up for that - it was pretty good.

Pros: Great burger

Cons: Horribly over-salted chips

Sloppy burgers

Decent sloppy fast food style vegan burgers. Not sure why the need for green buns but hey! Was tasty and hot the spot. Not posh.

Agree burgers are decent but didn’t find ours sloppy.. had pineapple custard spring rolls too, they were even better than the fairy bread ones.

Hidden gem

A bit of a hidden gem but the food was great and will definitely recommend trying the green buns!

Delicious!!

Went here with two friends who eat meat and they also loved it. The staff were friendly and food was amazing. The free little pigs burger was great but then I also ordered the ribwhich which was even better!!

Tasty!

I had the fin burger - it wasn’t very fish like but it was delicious and the lady behind the counter was really laid back and nice 👍🏼

Pros: All vegan options , BYOB and bottle shop about 30 seconds walk

Really bad

Unfortunately this was a poor experience. When it comes to vegan burgers, these do not rank. We ordered the Not Mushroom for Dessert and the Cheesy B Superburgz. Both patties were a mushy mess, with the former completely falling apart on the first bite and missing the spinach, and the latter being completely undercooked. Worst is both patties were burnt, that’s a health risk. Sorry, but far too many establishments nail it now, no excuses to be this bad.

Cons: Expensive for poor quality , Burnt and messy patties, Greasy

They changed chefs (I do recall a burger from back then it was good actually but nowhere near as good as now.. ) had it a few times over last couple of months and easy a 9/10-10/10 each time. Pics I posted were from last night.

Definitely better options out there

Tried this place two nights ago. Had the chicken burgers, chips sweet potato chips, garlic bread. Both Chips were good, so was aioli. But the chicken burgers were definitely not on par with what’s available at other places. It was definitely the weirdest fake meat/chicken I’ve come across so far. Just a big dough like patty. Garlic bread just a bread roll. Prices are expensive for the lower quality of food. Asked for one burger to be altered minus onion for intolerances but this was not followed. Considering the fabulous options out there, this wouldn’t be a place I consider again.

I would agree with your review. I ordered the Chick'n Burger and Sweet Potato Fries last week. The fries were good (typical food service product) but the burger patty was terrible - a tasteless gelatinous mass. Not what I would expect from an all vegan establishment. Not sure if I'd want to try the other burgers now.

I won’t reply to each post but just signed up to HC and we went last night food was smashing and totally on point. New chefs and nicer outdoor space now. Much better vibe all round.

Great portions, good burgers

I had the fish burger and chips when I went. Great portions, and tasty. Not entirely sure what the patty was made of, seemed like flavoured aubergine. I wasn’t blown away, hence the 4 stars. But if you’re in the area it’s worth a try!

Good but not amazing

Burgers we're nice but the mock meat was not very good for the chicken burger at least. Chips were good but the same quality you can get from any old chip store.

Cons: lots of plastic/ waste

Not what it seems... 1 Star!

My experience with VeganBurgz. The store didn’t appear open and the worker who turned up was not very presentable for someone who makes your food. He then complained that staff hadn’t showed up for their shift so he was the only one on. I showed him a pic from the VB fb page of the burger I wanted…. He told me they were out of stock of things because he hadn’t had the chance to go shopping.
My friend and I decided to get different burgers to the ones we actually wanted. We were told that everything is house made and he raved about the Aioli so we also ordered sweet potato chips with aioli. The Burgers were mediocre, the chips were soggy and the aioli was about 15mls of a watery undesirable consistency. While we ate our food the “chef” hung around us on his phone, smoking a cigarette and chatting with us which really added to our “enjoyable experience”.
I got a cheeseburger for the road because I thought the pics were great but this was the most disappointing of all, whatever that patty is was so gross I could not have more than one bite.
I later learnt that the burger I asked for wasn’t even one that they sell but had pictured as their own on the VB fb page. This burger was the only reason I wanted to go to VB.
The fact VeganBurgz seems to think it is ok to be deceptive is very concerning. They use photos of other businesses food and claim it as their own to draw customers to their business.

I simply had a question the owner didn't like but should be answered quite easily unless you have something to hide? : ''Which NFP structure are you registered under and may I please have your ACNC charities rego number? Or simply an ABN?''
I have since been removed from commenting on the VB fb page.

Cons: overpriced dull flavoured food, deceptive, rude owner

Gross

I had a vegan burger with eggplant capsicum and tofu: it was too too oily, and not tasty even if it was spicy. The fries were full of salt, she forgot the aioli sauce. And I didn’t have a napkin to clean my hands who were full of oil. The strawberry shake was ok but not as good as in GreenEdge. I don’t recommend it at all.

worth a visit

Chicken burger and the chips are really good. However they are stingey with the aioli! First time i went you got a big pot free with chips second time i had to ask and it seemed watered down and not given very much. The burger needed more too. Havent tried shakes or desserts yet.

Sad

The food was tastless. Never liked McDonald's so I guess I am not the target market. In the same area there are several better burger options.
My first bad vegan food experience in Brisbane.

Pros: Room for easy improvement

Cons: Expensive

Not great

Does not compare well to nearby MooFree at Foodworks or Netherworld Arcade burgers. The shop is all vegan but the burger buns are unappealing, the patties are ok, the aioli is flavourless, chips weren't great. VeganBurgz is quite new, hopefully they improve soon. We need more all-vegan places... but if they can't compete and the food is meh and leaning towards the bland side, it's not really selling veganism to new people either. I really wanted to like this place, a bit disappointed.

Quite a lot of salt, too, which you expect from fast food style but not a lot of other flavour... Pulled pork was a bit of a fail. The mushroom burger pattie is ok but no sauce on the bun, just the bland aioli paste. The cheeseburgers are decent but my kids didn't finish them, unlike MooFree and Netherworld which they love. Since the price is more than MooFree you expect more. Like the prices, the food quality should be comparable to the amazing food at Netherworld... but it's not in the same ball park.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Expensive for the mediocre quality, Bland

Great burgers

Great food and big meals. The fish burger isn’t overly fishy, the cheesy B is delicious and chips are nicely cooked. The shakes are tasty and sweet. The seating and vibe is a little lacking but the food is worth it.

Pros: Big serves , Great favours , Nice milkshakes

Cons: No real vibe , Seating outside (not weather friendly), Parking can be tricky at peak times

Good, but could be better!

Coconut Shake was great, coconut lime wasn’t my taste and felt a bit ‘fake’, not sure what was in it. We also had the Mushroom burger- the patty and sauces we incredibly delicious but the bun was really disappointing and dry, would’ve been much better with a wholemeal one. The Kale burger bun was very good but the portion was considerably smaller than the mushroom one. The sweet potato chips were really soggy, will skip them next time. This could be a great vegan place but it could be a bit better thought through (like not putting an enormous fridge in the window so noone can see the actual counter...)

Pros: Fully Vegan, Yummy patties, Good location

Cons: Soggy sweet potato chips, Dark, and not obviously a cafe, Long wait for food

open time

Your food looks really good but too sad it didn't open on time so I didn't have the chance to try when I was in Brisbane. It doesn't open at 11am like the app says. The Google said it opens at 1200 so I went back to try again at 1215 but it's not open so I was disappointed.

watch out for paw prints

Half the menu items were unavailable. Eftpos was unavailable. They didn't have what i wanted so i tried the meal deal. Nothing special about food except green bun with staff's fingerprint in top of bun. All delivered without a serviette. The staff sat smoking just outside the eating area. So if you eat here take cash and gas mask, don't expect them to have what you'd like, and watch out for paw prints.

Cons: menu items and eftpos unavailable, food nothing sp
