Exceptional vegan cheese! - Edit
We had the glorious five cheeseplatter, the velvet lox and the pita pocket. Every dish was super tasty and we have not seen anything like it before. The cheese is made by the owners themselves and tastes amazing. The store is located in a small shopping center and is cozy and inviting to sit in. The owners are super friendly and answered all of our questions. We had a real good time and will definitely come back on our next trip to Madeira! Totally recommending Veganaria. All the best and hope they can grow and expand their business :)

Read moreFirst of all, the staff were really lovely and passionate about what they do. They explained the whole process of how they make the cheeses - it was interesting to hear.
We wanted to get the 5 cheese platter, but I didn’t like the sound of fruit and cheese (weird I know) so instead they made us a savoury board. I can’t thank them enough for that because it was the best thing I’ve ever in my life.
It had 5 different cheeses, lox, nuts, bread, dehydrated cucumber, sun-dried tomatoes and crackers.
All of the cheeses were different flavours and textures. We loved the sun-dried tomato cream cheese - so much so we bought some to have in our sandwiches on the plane home the next day. I also adored the aged old cheese, which had recently won an award. After being vegan for 4 years, I’ve not tried a vegan cheese that has tasted so cheesy before. The texture was also perfect - creamy and rich.
We walked around the local beach and then went back to veganaria for some of their cheesecakes. I forgot what cheesecake tasted like and now I can’t stop thinking about these two! We got the berry crumble and the almond flavours to try. Both of them were incredible, I get emotional thinking about them lmao.
Pros: Lovely and passionate staff, Amazing cheeses, Wonderful cheesecakes

Der Umweg hat sich absolut gelohnt! Wir mussten unbedingt vor Ende unseres Urlaubs noch vorbeischauen und den leckeren Käse probieren. Leider hatten wir vorher schon gegessen und konnten deshalb nicht mehr die Käseplatte bestellen. Aber wir wurden super lieb empfangen und konnten die Käsesorten erstmal durchprobieren bevor wir uns entschieden haben, was wir mitnehmen. Wirklich alles war mega lecker! Am meisten hat uns der Käse mit Trüffel und rosa Pfeffer überzeugt. Kaffee und Kuchen gabs dann auch noch und den Käse haben wir abends mit Brot am Strand genossen😄

Wir konnten uns heute durch das Sortiment an genialen Käsealternativen testen und sind hin und weg.
Read moreDamit wir wirklich alle Sorten probieren konnten, bestellten wir uns die große Käseplatte und dazu noch die Laxbrötchen.
Wow, der Veg-Zarella ist der Wahnsinn, viel besser als herkömmlicher Mozzarella und der beste vegane, den ich bisher gegessen habe. Das gleiche gilt für den Veg-gonzola, sooo cremig und fein. Alle anderen Sorten stehen den beiden genannten nicht nach, einfach nur ein Genuss!
Und dazu kommt noch die freundliche Bedienung und die tolle Beratung.
Also, wer auf Madeira ist, sollte den kleinen Laden unbedingt besuchen.

Diese cremige Konsistenz beim Vegazola hinzubekommen war nicht so leicht, aber genau solche Rückmeldungen zeigen uns, dass es sich gelohnt hat!

One of the best vegan cheeze I have ever tried! They offer different vegan cheese alternatives - all home-made, of which I chose the „blue cheese“ style. The coffee was also great and the cake looked delicious (we came just a little too late and missed the last piece). The small café was very busy but the owners were super friendly and took their time to explain their products. Great experience, must visit!

Very little and nice place located in a shoppingcenter. Very friendly and enthusiastic German people running this Café bistro. All is homemade, also different cakes, yummy. They only serve on friday and saterday between 17 and 19 pm. Very rich food experience!

If you can make it during the limited opening hours you have to go here. Had the most amazing cheesecake and a lovely chat with the owners. Got a free taste test of a variety of their products including cream cheese, camonbert, feta, carrot lax and more. Everything tasted amazing.

N'hésitez pas à vous rendre à cette adresse ! Tous les fromages testés étaient très bons. Coup de cœur pour le Camembert qui était le meilleur Camembert vegan goûté jusqu'à présent ! Le Cremoso est aussi excellent, quelle que soit la saveur.

We tried the 5-cheese board (feta, Camembert, mozzarella, cream cheese, and peppercorn) and also their 2-day marinated tofu pitta pocket. All were perfect.
We drank great coffee, and a juice of the week which were also great.

Wir haben die Käseplatte und allerhand drumherum probiert. Es war eine Wucht!
Ein Muss, wenn man hier in Madeira ist!
Während wir dort waren, waren auch super viele Stammkunden da. Das spricht für sich!

Hanna und Chris sind mit Herzblut bei der Sache. Es gibt verschiedenen Käse Alternativen (verschiedene Frischkäse, Camembert, Feta und Hartkäse). Wir hatten den Saft des Tages (Karotte, Apfel, Ingwer und Limette) sowie den Russischen Zupfkuchen und die gefüllte Pita. Alles war sehr lecker. Der Besuch hier ist definitiv ein Muss! 😀
