Read moreAllerdings war die Reservierung leider schwierig: Die Telefonnummer auf der Homepage und bei Google ist nicht vergeben, sodass wir niemanden erreichen konnten. Auch auf die automatisch generierte Reservierungs-E-Mail über die Homepage haben wir leider keine Antwort erhalten.
Schade, denn das Essen und der Aufenthalt waren ansonsten wirklich top.

Absolut suuupi! Total prima.
Read moreDas Essen ist 100% lecker mit freundliche Bedienung und die Kellnerinnen da sind immer lächeln.
Besonders ist Pho - ein lokale berühmte Glasnudeln in Saigon mit so leckere verschiedene Pilzen und ausgezeichneten Brühe.
Der Preis ist liebevoll gut, auch für Studenten.
Die Lokation ist 10 min nach Zentrum und 3 - 5min nach der Fluss.
Die Atmosphäre ist so cool und friedlich mit schöne Musik. Ich werde hier bestimmt wieder kommen.

Best Asian Food in Hanover - Edit
A truly underrated restaurant, very close to Hanover's old town. Despite the change of ownership, we are still excited to come here every time. Even though the decor is very simple, the focus here is clearly on great, fresh food. The portions are filling, good looking and taste simply phenomenal. Each dish is a culinary delight in itself. The baked bananas, the homemade spring and summer rolls, the coconut soup, and the traditional main courses with peanut sauce are especially recommended.

This new vegan Vietnamese spot is definitely worth a try. I had the miso soup and the summer rolls with extra peanut sauce — both were incredible. The flavors were so fresh, balanced, and comforting. The peanut sauce especially was out of this world — creamy, rich, and addictive!

Leckeres veganes vietnamesisches Essen mit super Service - Edit
Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Vegan Village (veganvillage.de) und haben ein mehrgängiges Menü ausprobiert – alles war stimmig, frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Der Service war sehr freundlich, hat uns bei der Auswahl geholfen und direkt einen zweiten Teller gebracht, damit wir die Gerichte teilen konnten.
Read moreDas Essen war durchweg lecker, gut gewürzt und hatte tolle Texturen. Der selbstgemachte Tofu war ein echtes Highlight – außen knusprig, innen weich. Man schmeckt, dass hier frisch gekocht wird.
Das Restaurant ist hell und gemütlich eingerichtet, mit einem schönen Außenbereich, in dem man an warmen Tagen entspannt sitzen kann. Besonders aufmerksam: Der Küchenchef kam persönlich an den Tisch und erkundigte sich, ob alles in Ordnung war – das fanden wir sehr herzlich.
Alle Gerichte gibt es übrigens auch zum Mitnehmen.
Fazit: Vegan Village ist eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die frische, vegane vietnamesische Küche in entspannter Atmosphäre genießen oder mitnehmen möchten.

Small, interesting restaurant with a very cozy courtyard. We went there around lunchtime and at first we were the only guests. But little by little, more people arrived.

The server didn’t speak German very well and didn’t quite understand what we wanted at first. She also stood next to our table the whole time while we looked at the menu, which felt a bit awkward since it was our first visit and we needed time to figure out what to order.
The food was served quickly. There was a small soup as a starter and then the daily menu. The food was tasty, but nothing special. No surprising flavors or anything particularly memorable. The portion was also pretty small.
Still, I think I’d go back again because I really liked the courtyard and the quiet atmosphere.

Beim Betreten fällt sofort die Ruhe auf - kein Geschirrklappern, keine zuschnallenden Türen. Eine Ruhe, die sich auch bei den BesucherInnen legt und dem Restaurant eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre gibt.
Read moreSeit 2025 ist das ehemals mönchsgeführte Restaurant jetzt in neuer Leitung. Erst war ich besorgt, dass sich damit etwas ändert, aber das Restaurant ist ganz dasselbe. Das Essen ist wirklich erstklassig, sowohl auf dem Gaumen als auch für die Augen, und die Ruhe.. herrlich!
Hier versteht man sich auch eine überschaubare Karte zu haben und die Sachen, die angeboten werden, zur Perfektion zu bringen.
Kinderfreundlich ist es zudem ungemein. Bei meinen beiden Besuchen mit zwei Kindern waren die beiden Kleinen ab Minute 5 mit einer der sehr herzlichen Köchinnen auf Gartenexpedition, während ich mal den Genuss hatte, nur mich selber füttern zu müssen.

Ich ernähre mich seit einem Jahr vegetarisch, aber ehrlich gesagt war ich manchmal etwas gelangweilt von Gemüse. Doch zum Glück habe ich dieses Restaurant zufällig entdeckt – und WOW! Der gegrillte Pilzspieß (V14) hat mich total überrascht. Der Pilz war überhaupt nicht fade, sondern voller besonderer Aromen – ich kann es nicht genau beschreiben, aber es ist definitiv das erste Gericht, das ich jedem empfehlen würde.

Ich hätte gerne noch mehr probiert, aber ich war einfach zu satt. Beim nächsten Mal bestelle ich auf jeden Fall die Warm Bowl. Schon auf der Speisekarte klang sie riesig (XXXL), aber als ich die Schüssel gesehen habe… mein Gott, sie ist so groß wie Motorradhelm!!!

Neuer Besitzer seit 2025. Wieder 100% vegan. Ostasiatisches Essen. Das Essen hat mir wieder sehr geschmeckt. Portionen sehen klein aus, aber macht dann doch sehr satt. Vorspeisen und Hauptspeisen werden angeboten. Die Karte wird noch überarbeitet. Nette Bedienung. Zahlung zur Zeit nur Bar möglich.

Read moreA nice restaurant that has a very human atmosphere. Not all these cold, capitalist restaurants. You can just make yourself a free cup of tea 🍵there, for example. The food is cheap, you should donate more because it was delicious.
And OMG the music: so soothing. I felt like I was in a Studio Ghibli movie.
I hope they don't go out of business 🙏

In my opinion the food was a little better and more extraordinary before the reopening. But it's still delicious with really friendly staff and the seating arrangements outside in the courtyard are quite cozy.

Küche in buddhistischer Tradition - Edit
Hier hat man die Wahl zwischen Pho (vietnamesischer Suppe) und diversen Bowls. Wirklich lecker! Und gesund. Und manche Zutaten kommen aus dem eigenen Garten; betrieben wird das Ganze nämlich von buddhistischen weiblichen Mönchen.
