Perfect landing pad in Siem Reap for vegans! - Edit

Just perfect! Vegan Food Quest (Paul and Caryl) host you in their clean, large house near to the centre of Siem Reap.
They offer awesome vegan breakfasts (fruit salad, smoothies and tofu scramble on sourdough - to die for!). My family and I stayed in Siem Reap for a month so Paul and Caryl gave us all the details of where to go and eat.

Siem Reap is a gem of a place for vegans and we ate our way around it in delirious bliss. Burgers, pulled jackfruit burritos, cheesecake, chocolate gelato, mushroom skewers (which are the most meat-like thing I have ever eaten!), vegan sausages and mash, I could go on and on! There are some great local food places too that have pumpkin curry and deep fried eggplant, etc.

If you are vegan and heading to Cambodia - don't even think about staying anywhere else!

Pros: See description

Cons: None

Amazing :) - Edit

After Paul offered me some advice through a vegan travel page online he linked me to Vegan Villa. Strangely, about a month later I met a quirky, smiley lil lady in a vegan cafe in Sihanoukville who overheard me raving about food and talking about Siem Reap. This then turned out to be Caryl- the loooovely other half of Paul! So long story short we chatted and ate and ate some more before exchanging contacts. This then led to me staying with them a couple of weeks later in the wonderful Siem Reap.

Honestly, I could not have asked for two nicer people to host me. Caryl and Paul are two of the loveliest people I met on my travels and were incredibly compassionate and fun to be around. As a vegan/big big foodie (!) myself it was fab to be shown a city with an emphasis on the local food on offer. We went to markets and I ate amazing rice banana leaf things that I miss daily (have found them in london but for 4 POUNDS WHAT?!?!). They introduced me to their lovely neighbours Resmey (apologies for the spelling!) and the adorable Melody. We also went out for dinner one night at chamkar (i think!) And had the delicious wedding day dip aaaah. Also Caryl and Paul are top notch cooks and myself and a pal had dinner cooked by them which was so delicious.

Onto the actual important stuff... the house is super duper lovely and a super comfy DOUBLE BED which is rare to find whilst travelling. Caryl prepared me brekkie every morning and introduced me to the wonder that is overnight oats! She even made me a lil packed lunch when I went to Angkor Wat which was super kind of her. The location is really good and easy to get to the main town by tuk tuk :)

Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience (no, they are not paying me to say this ha!) and would definitely recommend it- vegan, vegetarian, omni, unicorn- you won't find hosts more caring and fun to be around !

Love love xxx

Pros: FOOD! (amazing chefs), Comfy double bed , Location and not too loud

Cons: I had to leave! :(

Delicious food and fantastic company! - Edit

My sister and I stayed with Caryl and Paul for a couple of nights earlier this year - and we are so glad we did! They are friendly, gracious and fun-loving hosts that know how to make absolutely delicious vegan food! The scrambled tofu and over-night oats for breakfast were especially tasty. If you're lucky Caryl will make some of her peanut butter, cacao oat slice (one of the yummiest vegan treats we have had on our trip so far!). Will definitely have to come back again :)

Pros: Caryl and Paul, Nothing beats home cooked food

Generous, wonderful & heartwarming experience - Edit

Vegan Villa was an incredible part of our South East Asian trip providing us not only with delicious home cooked meals and treats (heaven for backpackers that had been on the road for 2+months) but with superb, passionate, open, friendly, like-minded company, and welcoming us into their home with so much love and kindness. Their comprehensive and thoughtful travel tips and the all important vegan hot spots for fantastic food in the area were invaluable and didn't disappoint. Caryl and Paul are the most lovely people and I'm so grateful we were able to experience the oasis Vegan Villa is.

Pros: lovely room, excellent homemade meals, great company
