I think Viva Vegan (RIP) spoiled me. I was expecting a burst of flavor with the quesobirria tacos, but they were just okay. Tried the asada, al pastor, and chorizo tacos as well. I could barely tell the difference to be honest. The address on HappyCow is also wrong - look at more popular map apps for the updated address. FYI the area is kinda sketchy at night; it’s downtown Riverside so 🤷♂️

Super friendly staff and awesome tacos and food. The price was right, too. I especially liked the breakfast taco. Make sure to get an agua fresca, too. Hopefully, they have watermelon! The dude who took our order appeared generally curious to get to know everyone he was serving a little bit and while busy seemed happy to chat a bit.

We got 1/2 dozen tamales for the holiday weekend; three flavors: asada, birria, and carnitas. They were awesome! Moist masa, tasty filling, each with a unique texture and flavor reminiscent of the meat equivalent. Reminded me of childhood tamales made by mom and her sisters. Absolutely wonderful! We will be ordering more for the December holidays!

Stopped by here after finding out Plant Power in Riverside had closed and my tastebuds are so happy we did!! Their food is very authentic (if you're Hispanic you know what I mean) which is hard to find and customer service is top tier. Definitely my new go to when in Riverside! We had 3 asada tacos, 2 carnitas tacos, a side of rice, 2 aguas frescas (pineapple and watermelon) and a burrito that was so bomb I ate it before I could take a pic 🤣😋

I had somehow not noticed that I had a filter on my Happy Cow search and therefore missed seeing the opening of Vegan Vatoz. We went here for an early lunch and got carnitas burrito, and two kinds of taquitos, plus the daily Agua Fresca which was a strawberry lemonade. Everything was amazing. Portions are large, very flavorful, and the guys working the truck friendly and helpful. Our previous go-to Plantos closed a few months ago, so very excited to have Vegan Vatoz as an option.

Vegan Vatoz has the best pea protein Asada and Carnitas, from the Ambiance to the Owners coming here is just a vibe ! I brought a few of my no vegan friends some food and they had no idea it was vegan and they loved it ! They still don’t know lol ! Great staff and great people I recommend this place to everyone!!! Do yourself a favor and try some Vegan Vatoz !!

Man I’ve been vegan for 8 years now but I am a vegan fish FIEND and maannnnn their fish tacos do not disappoint!! From the tortillas to the vegan fish to the toppings, it was all around *perfect* especially considering how refreshingly filling they were🤤 couldn’t recommend a better spot than Vegan Vatoz if you’re craving something flavorful and tasty!!

Wish I took a photo of that masterpiece before I inhaled it. Genuinely the best steak and egg burrito I’ve ever had - vegan or not. My girlfriend found this on the way to picking me up from school and told me we had to try it. The flavor experience alone rivaled the intensity of the nuke in the new Oppenheimer movie. Absolutely stunning quality and customer service.

After following this business' instagram account for some time, I was excited when to see that they were starting Saturday evening hours today. Upon arriving at the food truck, we were impressed by how sleek it looked and appreciated assistance from the friendly food truck owners.We were especially excited to learn that their menu is both vegan and 100% nut free!
Read moreAfter looking at their vast menu, we decided to order chicken and beef taquitos, an asada quesadilla for me, super fries with carnitas for hubby and for drinks, we ordered the agua fresca of the day which was a quadruple berry agua fresca with strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, boysenberry.
Our food was prepared quickly and packaged well. In reference to the food, the taquitos looked good and were flavorful. The asada quesadilla was big and had a great balance of vegan cheese and asada. Hubby really liked the super fries with carnitas as well as the sauces available including an avocado sauce and a habanero sauce.
After visiting Vegan Vatoz food truck, we definitely plan to visit them again due to the large portion serving sizes, well seasoned food, and the friendly.

The BEST Mexican Food - Edit
The food is absolutely amazing here - everything is delicious! It is moderately priced, and so is comparable to other restaurants in the area. The key difference is that my wife and I want to eat here every chance we get. Seriously, every dish that we have tried is fantastic. The food is super flavorful without being overly salty, and the sauces and salsas are perfect compliments. We can't wait until they establish an actual restaurant, and are open more hours of the week!

absolutely delicious!! i struggle to find affordable mexican food and this place tops it. their food tastes just like the real thing. don’t get me started on on the owner! he’s such a nice person and it’s a business you want to support, he’s super down to earth and treats you like his friend! this is a great place to get the full mexican cuisine in a vegan and affordable fashion 😊😊

The food here is phenomenal! I'm happy to have an all-vegan Mexican food option in Riverside! I've had their asada burrito and asada carnitas tacos (different occasions 🤣)! Everything I've had from them was delicious! Their business is just starting out, so I'm looking forward to whatever else they bring to the table in the future!
