Yay Brick & Mortar! - Edit
It had been a minute since I’d had the vegan van, and was so excited to see their market. It was great. Plenty of seating, lots of cool vegan items you can’t find around town, and I got a taco and pizza- both were delicious! The people were super friendly as well.

Extremely rude owners - Edit
When I asked them about a menu item, they blocked me on social media & told my friend who asked for me that I harassed them. Instead of just replying to me. I thought they would talk to me like a human, but no. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Awesome food, service, & owners! - Edit
We were in town for 2 days and we came made sure to stop here both days for breakfast and grab plenty of snacks and drinks. We got the McLovin and the breakfast burrito, and both are so delicious, flavorful, and filling. We also had the opportunity to meet the owners, and Britney is such a delight, truly a lovely human being. So happy we found this place and excited to pay many more visits whenever we’re in Denver.

Not As Great as the Hype - Edit
I was super excited to try the Vegan Van because of all of the hype. It was good but definitely not as amazing as everyone said. I had the breakfast burrito which was so salty i couldn’t taste anything else. I drowned it in green sauce to give it some flavor. I will say the gf tortilla was incredible.
Read moreWe also tried the nacho fries, gluten free. My gf had a bite and was done. I thought they were pretty good but nothing exciting. They looked much better, lacked in flavor though.
My gf had the Crunchwrap and loved it. She said the tots were decent too. Maybe they just haven’t gotten down the gluten free yet?

We came especially for Taco Tuesday, and the Chalupa was amazing! The Chile relleno was ho humm however, and not worth ordering.

Worth it - Edit
Stopped in while here for vacation. Super friendly service and great food and products. Took us a minute to figure out where it was (the sign is inside the building) Was 100% worth the 30 minute bus ride it took us to get there.

Would give 6 stars if I could! - Edit
Vegan Van is always there to fill that craving for, um, craveable vegan food. Their breakfast burritos, crunchwraps, and chubby fries are staples in our home, maybe with a bonus gordita or chalupa to really stuff ourselves... But there's a lot of other great stuff to try on their menus. I love that their brick-and-mortar location (1) is more convenient for us, and (2) lets them expand the menu so favorites are available more regularly and they can add things like their new pizzas - a lot of great tasty cheezy options!

Amazing - Edit
I had the crunch wrap and it tasted very similar to how I remember Taco Bell's except a bit smaller. They have a mini market packed with vegan snacks and drinks as well as a good selection of vegan cheeses. 100% recommend!

Good treats and market - Edit
I got the crunch wrap and it was tasty. I like the little shop that sells every day vegan foods and snacks. I wish I understood that the pizza stand next to them were the same, otherwise I would have gotten a pizza. One counter is clearly marked Vegan Van and the other is marked Pizza, and did not have obvious Vegan Van branding. I only noticed it later on the cashier screen when I bought a drink from the market.

Best Vegan food in Denver Hands Down - Edit
If you’re only going to try one vegan place when you’re here it needs to be Vegan Van, they’ve come a long way and they’re always consistent. They’re very active on social media and are always spicing up the menu with fresh ideas that always win. The most important thing about this mom and pop shop is that they’re the epicenter of the vegan community in Denver, with their new location they’ve gone above and beyond to promote more vegan products. I find myself here at least once a week.

Memorial Day BBQ was dope - Edit
We visited Vegan Van on a roadtrip after many days in a vegan food desert eating bananas and gas station pickles. We both had the Memorial Day BBQ special, which was very filling for the price and super tasty. BBQ seitan ribs, corn, pasta salad, and awesome garlic toast. This is a sweet little spot and if I lived in Denver I’d be here all the time. Also bought a Vegan Van sticker to take home; it looked like they had tons of vegan comfort food options to try and wish we’d been in town longer to try more.

This location on Elati is a permanent sit down spot. The McLovin' breakfast sandwich is the best! They now serve pizza as well.

Good food - Edit
I think this place has the most delicious vegan Taco Bell style food. Nothing on the menu is short of that. I do, however, think the prices can be a bit expensive, considering the portions. It’s hard to figure where they are sometimes, too. Overall, I stay happy because the food is so good.

Vegan comfort food just off I70 - Edit
The Vegan Van restaurant is a convenient stop on the way to/from the airport or wherever else I70 might be taking you, as it’s just a two-minute detour from the freeway. The specialty here is flavorful burgers, burritos/wraps, taco variations, fries, and other fried stuff. Not the place you go for the world’s healthiest meal, but what they set out to do they do well.
Read moreThe “chicken” sandwich was tasty. I personally wouldn’t do the “chubby” fries side again because I prefer fries crispy rather than saucy, but the flavors were good and it’s quite filling.
Service is very friendly. Prices are average for downtown Denver. The location is inside the “Assembly” building. Be sure not to park in the spaces reserved for permitted residents (pay attention to the signs in the lot).
One thing that could be improved is waste. They serve the food in take-out packaging even for those dining in, and the only forks and spoons available are plastic ones in plastic packaging. We’d come more often if they could eliminate the packaging, or at least use plastic-free plant-based compostable packaging and cutlery. Until then, we’d only drop in when we have our own containers with us.

Yum! - Edit
Wow, that taco was great! The fries and the chalupa were outstanding as well. Everything was very flavorful and had a great texture. The people inside were also very nice , and they took the time to talk to me even though they were obviously trying to set up displays.

Best Vegan Place!! - Edit
My wife got the Mclovin and she rates it a 10/10!! As a non vegan she says it’s better than real sausage and will definitely be coming back when we’re in Denver! I got the breakfast burrito and it was very filling. Could eat it everyday for breakfast. Maybe even lunch and dinner! 10/10 would recommend again

Not a Top Denver Restaurant - Edit
Visited here based on its HappyCow rating as a top restaurant and was very disappointed. In addition to a 45 minute wait time after ordering (with not many people ahead of me) it wasn’t amazing food—the $13 breakfast burrito was mostly tater tots.

Great food, even better people, and excited for their new space - Edit
The food at Vegan Van is so delish I pretty much have it every week. They are constantly being creative and mixing up the menu with innovative and craveable eats that vegans and non-vegans both love, but if I had to eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be Vegan Van chubby fries and crunchwraps. I'm so so excited for the new menu expansion that will be possible now that they have a permanent location!!
Read moreMore importantly, the vibe at vegan van always puts me in a great mood because of the friendly and wonderful staff and owners. They really go the extra mile to make affordable vegan options available in Denver so that the vegan life is accessible to all, and their support of their community doesn't stop there. I love and appreciate that they served up food for a nonprofit event I coordinated - omnivores and veggies alike just loved the food, and they were a key part of making the event a success. Vegan Van is the stuff community is made of, get yourself some chubby fries ASAP.

Omni BF’s Fav - Edit
We had the Carolina chicken sandwich with their chubby fries and they were DELICIOUS. My omni boyfriend says this is one of his favorite vegan substitutes he’s had. The sauce, the texture, the size it’s all just so good. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because though the fries were good, they weren’t special in anyway.
