I visited Vegan Time Cafe for the first time, even though it’s about an hour and 15 minutes from my house — and it was absolutely worth the trip! The customer service was top-notch; the owner and his assistant went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and informed.
Read moreSince I’m still new to my vegan journey, they took the time to share so much valuable information about eating an alkaline diet and even provided me with a three-day detox plan that I’m excited to start.
The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend Vegan Time Cafe to anyone looking for amazing vegan food and an experience that truly supports your health and wellness goals!

Great flavors! - Edit
I ordered the lion mane "philly" today. Unfortunately, they were out of lion mane and replaced with oyster mushrooms. It was delicious. The fried okra was amazing. The crew was friendly. The cost was a little higher than expected, but they also have cheaper options on the menu as well. I'll look forward to trying more items next time I go!

For Starters, the Brother I AM, is a unique being. Enjoyed the conversation. The food was very good. I had Gumbo, Butter nut squash fries, vegan burger, and berry smoothie. I had a sample of the Mac n cheese in which I wish I ordered a side. Everything was very tasty. When I'm in town I will definitely stop again.

Great, buffet style restaurant - Edit
Great find! It was like getting a home cooked meal with friends. There were several entree and side options to choose from. Everything we had was delicious; oyster mushroom curry, salisbury steak, dirty rice, macaroni & cheese, and squash. Great atmosphere. Visited with the owner/chef and other patrons. #Veganuary

Always 5 Star - Edit
The food never disappoints. I haven’t been to Mobile since he opened the cafe, but I have tried everything on the food truck menu prior to that. It’s always delicious! I usually eat the food so fast I forget to take a picture, but I have a few where I didn’t forget.

09DEC2023: I had lunch with my Mom at the new Vegan Time Cafe location. It was nice being able to eat in the cafe instead of getting takeout from the food truck. Mom had the nachos, which she loved. That’s definitely her favorite here.
Read moreI had items from the hot bar. Honestly, I don’t recall the names of any of the dishes. I just asked Chef Eddie to load me up with his favorites. Everything I tasted was amazing. I also tried the blueberry sea moss smoothie. That may have been my favorite smoothie ever.
Their drink selection is very limited. My mom hopes they sell sodas next time we dine here. I’m fine with the smoothies.
26JAN2023: We drove across town last week to try this place after reading reviews here. The nachos, butternut squash fries, and burger were all very tasty. Will most certainly eat at Vegan Time again.

Odd but good experience - Edit
Got to talk to the owner for a long time about their life and food philosophies. Super cool person--named chef I am I am. Gave me some life advice I needed.
Read moreOn the food side--got the boneless wings (I think?) Which were fire, got the oyster mushroom 6 inch, which was extreme fire, and the butternut fries, which I detested. Sorry chef. They were extremely weird, like covered in a thick gloop (kinda like aloe Vera gel from the store)that didn't really taste like much. And there was SO MUCH gloop!! Tbh, though, I wouldn't have ordered the fries without a recommendation, as I'm not the BIGGEST butternut fan, so that could be part of the reason I didn't like them, but really it was the texture that did me in.
Anyway. I will order the wings and sandwich (or maybe try one of the rice platters) every time I'm in the area. Felt like there was health benefits but still tasty (none of that unseasoned quinoa crap that is so often served at vegan spots).
Pros: The people working will explain menu items, Good diversity to menu for a food truck, Super well seasoned
Cons: The gloop :/

Delicious Food, Delightful Chef - Edit
My husband, our toddler and I were visiting Mobile and had to check out this all vegan food truck. We got the oyster mushroom sub, BBQ chickpeas, and crab cake sandwich. It was all freshly prepared by Chef Eddie who kept up a friendly conversation while cooking. It was all SO good. Our toddler loved the chickpeas. I hope we can get it again before leaving town.

So Good - Edit
Staying on Dauphin Island which is pretty much a vegan desert, Vegan Time in Mobile was well worth the drive. I had the most delicious burger and my partner loved the loaded taco. It is obvious the chef is dedicated and very creative. I highly recommend Vegan Time.

It’s Vegan Time! You Need to Go Here! - Edit
This truck has AMAZING food! Everything from the service to the food is out of this world fantastic! I am so happy to find vegan food on the Alabama coast. Coming from somewhere with lots of vegan options I never imagined finding such a gem in the South. I’ve been driving from California across 7 different states trying vegan all over and this, by far, is my favourite spot.
Read moreWe ordered the nachos, boneless wings with hot sauce, and Cajun butternut squash fries. Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious and flavourful. The best part is, it tasted indulgent and rich but made us feel amazing afterwards. Healthy, unprocessed and everything is made from scratch. The owner even came to check up on us to make sure everything was good; such a nice guy! We can’t wait to come back!
Pros: 100% Vegan, Unprocessed and scratch made, Friendly service

I finally got to try Vegan Time after finding it on this site last week. The food was just as good as I imagined! I took the advice of a recent reviewer and tried the burger. It was VERY good. My side was BBQ chickpeas which were also crazy good. I also got a strawberry smoothie, and I'm so glad I did. I will definitely be back, and I will be recommending Vegan Time to everyone I can. Thanks, Chef Eddie!
