Really bad food and service. - Edit
We waited over 30 minutes, watching others who ordered after us get served first. The food was not worth the wait. The Philly Cheesesteak was so over-seasoned that my husband couldn’t finish it. The Gyro sandwich wasn’t much better—the meat substitute had too much mint, lacked traditional spices, and was incredibly salty. The fries were just okay, but they were the best part of the meal.
Read moreThe banana pudding for dessert hadn't been made ahead of time, so the pudding didn’t penetrate the cookies, which is the best part of banana pudding. It also had a chalky aftertaste. The restaurant is tiny with hardly any seating, which is fine for takeaway, but they had a woman taking up even more of the limited space with a table set up for selling crystal jewelry.
If you're going to make me wait that long for such simple food, it should be exceptional with all the flavors on point. This was far from it.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. Despite the long wait, the food fell short in terms of flavor and preparation. The cramped seating and additional space taken up by a vendor didn't help either. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless significant improvements are made.
Pros: Fully vegan restaurant
Cons: Over-salted food , Ridiculously long wait , Poor seating

HOMEMADE & VEGAN! - Edit
This is a wonderful vegan restaurant! The thing I love most is that they don’t rely on processed convenience foods like Impossible & Beyond. Everything is homemade!!! The prices are quite reasonable, too, especially as everything is homemade. I’ve paid more at other vegan restaurants that do rely on processed vegan convenience foods. I got the fried chicken sandwich, mac & cheese, & ginger apple juice. All were very good. Don’t miss out on the ginger apple juice—it’s amazing! The owner is super friendly & shines with light & positivity.

Fill Me Up - Edit
I ordered the double seitan burger and tried the gyro. Both were delicious. My group also had Mac n cheese and crab cakes which I did not try but they liked. This is more of a take out place but they do have some counter seating.

Worth the Wait - Edit
If you want a taste of Louisiana in south Chicagoland, this is the place to go. I haven't had a gyro since I became vegan in the '90s; this one definitely tasted better. Four of us from our meetup had lunch here. I arrived around noon; the next 2 around 1 p.m.; the last, around 2 p.m. While I savored my taco and Reese's cup smoothie, the next 2 decided to order one each to eat now and their favorite 3-piece chicken plate each to go; the last 1 did the same. To reward me for making the 2 drool while I ate my gyro, Chef T let me and our last meetup member split a large sample of the fried 'chicken': we thought it tasted better than the real thing at nonvegan restaurants. The 2 ordered smoothies that weren't on the menu; the last one, the peanut butter smoothie. This is a place to relax and savor: while the others waited for their orders, we talked. People who arrive as strangers leave as friends. We convinced people from Champaign-Urbana in central Illinois to order what we'd gotten. A lady visiting from Saudi Arabia ordered vegan fish, which is hard to find; I think I'll try that next time. I took 2 buses to get to the location. My meal was worth the trip and the wait. Chef Tee Scott has trained her diverse staff well in meal preparation; her Louisianan grandma taught her well.

One of the best vegan spots in Chicagoland area!! - Edit
My wife and I visited the orland park area and decided to try this place out. We’ve tried the vegan corporate chains in the area but skipped those and ate here instead. All I have to say is wow I’m glad we ended up here! We ordered the chicken sandwich, Philly cheese steak, and the not Cho cheese nachos and wow I was completely blown away. I don’t know what kind of magic they use in the kitchen but you just HAVE to try the food. Words can’t explain how delicious it was. Will definitely be coming back!!

Vegan T’ease was awesome! I had to come in and try because of the good reviews and this place is a must go! We got the gyros which were awesome. Chef T is so kind and really cares about her food and customers, you can tell she really has a love for vegan food and the vegan community. I HIGHLY recommend! If I could give this place an extra star I would.

Finally met Tina! - Edit
Went here on a Friday night to finally check it out after moving to the area. They had a limited staff so there was a limited menu. We were able to try the chicken and the philly cheese steak. The chicken was super interesting I think it must be made with wheat. The fries were also really good! GO CHECK OUT TINA'S!! She is super nice and will help you order!

Vegan T'ease was SO good! I knew right away what I wanted to order because I have never found vegan gyros anywhere else. I could have eaten at least three orders of them. I would have payed whatever they cost. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and couldn't wait for more. The owner is the absolute heart of this business and is very easy to talk to. She's passionate about veganism and healthful food. Her smile and enthusiasm are contagious. I will definitely go back when I'm in Chicago.

Absolutely Loved the Food - Edit
I don’t leave reviews usually but the food and the atmosphere was so great I have to. I got the gyro, jalapeño poppers and fried with Cajun spice, which was by far one of the most delicious and satisfying meals I’ve had in a long time. If you haven’t checked them out I would highly recommend it.

Next time... I'll try the More Popular Items - Edit
The restaurant was unable to fulfill my order because some of the items I wanted were unavailable, including the cheese cake and the stuffed stepper peppers. They however did call and substitutions were made. I was not impressed with the flavor or textures of the Crab Cakes or Mediterranean Rice. That is not to say they weren't good, rather, they were not appealing to me. The Philly Cheese Steak was okay. If I were to order again, I'd go with the more popular items.
