great for vegan breakfast, good lunch options

I have been here a few times now - love it for breakfast and it is great to finally have a decent vegan taken on a classic breakfast! i love getting the vegan muffin with hash browns for breakfast.

the faux "beef" burgers are very good and reasonably priced but the faux "chicken" is not to my liking. the chips were almost radioactive red from the amount of paprika on them.

I have upgraded my review to 5*. i went in again this morning to get breakfast and the breakfast wrap was incredible. they have also stopped playing reggaeton exclusively and today were playing basement.

chuffed - sad theyre relocating to stockport.

Vegan Junk Food

It is what it says on the tin, vegan junk food that tastes good. The breakfast wrap is a decent sized portion.
Second time I’ve eaten here whilst in Manchester. If you’re looking for fast food then this is the place for you.

Pros: Easy, Good portions, Tasty

Cons: None

Great quantity and environment

Great environment and overall vibe inside. It may be a little pricey for some of the portions but the quality is definitely there. I ordered the £9 BBQ sauce chips which should be shared between 2 people and my partner got the garlic wings (the £8 option at the bottom right) which was a bit small but amazing quality

Pros: Atmosphere, Location, Quality

Cons: Somewhat pricey

Great that it’s all vegan, but the food isn’t that great

Good to have a full vegan fast food place in Manchester centre, but the quality of food (especially for the expensive prices) isn’t that great. I’ve had much better vegan food for similar prices or less.
We had the burger, chicken wrap and wings. They were ok, but probably won’t return here.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Expensive, Not the best taste , Franks Wings

A real treat!

Popped in here for some tots and fries, and we met with some of the best tots I've ever had

We got the truffle tots, and oh my goodness the flavour was incredible! Crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle.

The chips were decent too!

Pros: Flavour, Speedy service

Cons: A bit pricey

Nice sized portions, good location

I had a chicken style wrap (big, tasty and filling) and an iced sweet tea (OK). I'm intolerant to peanuts (not a full on life threatening allergy) and mentioned this on ordering. I had been looking forward to a banoffee milkshake, though they told me that all their shakes effectively contain peanut butter, as they use it in the machine. I docked a star for this. I'd eat there again and hope they start using separate equipment for the peanut butter shake in future.

Pros: All vegan, Nice staff

Cons: Couldn't have a milkshake

Vegan fast food

Nice and quick. It's what you would expect from a fast food place (wraps, burgers, chips) but done vegan.

Good fast food

Needed a quick bite before getting on the train, we shared the chickn wrap, biscoff donut and salted caramel milkshake. The milkshake was really really good. Very sweet, glad we shared one. The chickn wrap had more chickn than anything else. It was very salty. Would’ve loved more veggies but it was a great portion size to share. The donut was really great, soft and kinda melt in your mouth. Throughly enjoyed!

Great option for a quick meal

Was in need of a quick bite and decided to try their Bacon burger. It was fantastic and reasonably priced compared to other plant based burgers I have had, would highly recommend!

Thank God For Lack of Willpower

As a passed here earlier in the day, I told myself I wouldn’t be tempted. I knew this was a lie, and sure enough, as I passed later on (despite having eaten excellently prior to doing so), I entered without a second thought. Luckily, my weakness paid off as I had thoroughly delightful experience. The salted caramel milkshake was to die for, the truffle tots were salt packed goodness and the bbq bacon burger was a triumph. The only slight negative was the biscoff doughnut, but an even an average doughnut is better than no doughnut.
Absolutely zero regrets about my decision, and I would (will) readily do it again.

Manchester, you have moved me

I went for the chickn wrap which was amazing value for money, it felt like it never ended. Generous amount of chickn that you don't get in wraps from the chain restaurants. Definitely need to try their breakfast menu at some point.

Pros: Generous portions

Delicious!

I got the vegan chicken wrap kebab with extra mayo, peanut butter milkshake and doughnut. The food was delicious for fast food. I didn't expect it to be as tasty as it was. I also didn't expect the portions to be so big either. The food was great and I can't fault it for the money you pay.

Try the breakfast wrap

I stopped by and ate in for breakfast a couple of days ago. Ordered the breakfast wrap which had scrambled tofu, hash browns and vegan bacon. Really filling and great value. Best breakfast I’ve had out in ages.

Pros: Filling breakfast wrap, Great value

Slow service, dull food

We were excited to try this but sadly it didn't reach its potential. We got two lunch deals, which was one cheeseburger and one chicken wrap, both of which came with fries and a drink. The food was very slow to arrive, and honestly the staff were more interested in chatting than preparing our food. When it did come, it wasn't very hot (warm but not as hot as you'd expect). The main flavour in the chicken wrap was salt and not much else. Pretty flavourless, not much salad or tasty sauces etc to make it interesting. The burger was similarly very basic. I didn't really enjoy the seasoning on the lukewarm fries either, it just tasted a bit off.
The only plus is that it was relatively inexpensive.
This has the potential to be so much more. I'd like to see the staff paying a bit more attention and getting the food out hot and fresh. Take a look at the menu too and put a bit more effort into the dishes to make them really tasty, and you could be onto a winner. As it is, it was a disappointing experience.
PS. There is no toilet so make sure you plan for that. It made it a bit difficult with our toddler who can't hold on for very long.

Pros: Relatively inexpensive

Cons: Slow service from disinterested staff, Lukewarm food, Not very flavoursome

Tasty!

Wish we had the chance to visit for breakfast but just glad we got the chance to go!

The biscoff shake was unreal! So delicious. The tenders were great too!
If you’re nearby and looking for a place to eat I highly recommend going!

Better than a Maccy D’s

Don’t be drawn in by McDonald’s or Burger Kings vegan offer. They’re alright but not a patch on the burger and fries from Vegan Shack. Burger was nice and cheesy and the fries were nicely seasoned. Would definitely come back again.

Yay Breakfast

Firstly I just want to get this out of the way. The interior is not very inviting, just take a note out of Pret's seating and if they lowered the huge stickers covering the windows it would let people see the happy customers inside & entice people in, but as it stands it looks a bit like a bookies with blanked out windows. The staff & the food are very good though, we got there for the breakfast sandwich & bagel, both were satisfying. We stayed for a chik'n sandwich & fries, I loved the seasoning on the fries & the small portion was large enough for two. On another visit for breakfast we tried the pancakes which were ok, but it was a choice between butter or syrup, I like both together but chose syrup, sadly it was golden syrup not maple. I like this place & the food it could just be much better than it is with a few tweaks.
I don't know if they read my review because this place is now a lot more enticing, a lower counter, windows you can see in & out of. The menu has had a revamp too. I decided to try their vish burger & the shack fries are always my go to. The vish burger was good, not overly fishy with a good consistency. Will always try & make at least one visit when I'm in Manchester.

Vegan alternative to Fast food

I really enjoyed this and so did my partner. I was surprised by how few options of burgers on the menu there were though.

What we had was delicious. Thought it was a shame there was no burger and fries deal, both had to be bought separately.

We got 2 burgers, tater tots, fries, 2 drinks and some tenders which came to 40 pounds which I thought was a little pricey for fast food.

I would recommend and go again though

Pros: Taste, Portion size

Cons: Pricey for fast food, Limited options

I love it here but not a big fan of the new menu such as the tacos or the tenders. It doesn’t taste nice.

I prefer the old burgers and muffins and more the other fast food brand style.

Milkshake and ice cream is always lovely though.
